I was there it was very difficult to hear him that’s why we stood on the roofs to get a better view and hopefully hear him better. It was a reasonably sunny day.
Amazing seeing Theodore Roosevelt this up close and personal. You can see and feel his undying passion and intense personality. There were no brakes in this man. Pedal to the metal everyday.
Theodore Roosevelt "The entire civilized world is indebted to Hungary for its past. When America was still in the womb of Europe, Hungary prevented the expansion of the barbarians, Hungary preserved the security of the civilized world. There is no brighter history than that of the Hungarian nation.”
It's so surreal to know that every single one of these people are gone now, bones turned to dust. One minute they're right there, attending a parade for the 26th president and the next, they're faces known only by passing in a video 100+ years old. Life is too short.
This is great. However, it would be Roosevelt's inauguration speech of 1905 after winning the 1904 election. He did not win the presidency in 1900 but was Vice President to William McKinley. He took the oath of office at Ainsley Wilcox's house in Buffalo, New York on September 14, 1901, following McKinley's death from complications of an assassin's bullet.
So awesome to see this was back when poor men also could be president and they took pride over who was elected..and presidents back then also took pride in being president.not just a trophy.
@@JustHuman87I don't think Teddy was poor but you certainly had some Presidents that were poor. Andrew Johnson, Harry Truman, James Garfield, and Abraham Lincoln all grew up in poverty.
@@nomibe2911 exactly. I was contesting the original comment by saying He wasn't poor. The question mark is confusion because I am wondering where the author got that notion.
@JustHuman87 I agree that the original comment was somewhat ambiguous but he/she could have said that as a general statement not relating to Teddy Roosevelt.
The people standing at the parade had likely never seen a radio or airplane. They did not know about the a-bombs. They could possibly have seen an early phonograph or telephone.
Me personally I'm a big fan of Kennedy I always liked him and I think we need another young charismatic leader like him today....just like the jingle ad. Says old enough to know.and young enough to do.
Teddy Roosevelt blew me away when I started reading about him and quickly won my eternal admiration. He accomplished more in any one single given day than any President has or will. He was honest! An Upright Politician who fought for the people over the rich who tried to monopolize markets and squeeze everyone else out. He was the youngest man to ever be President and the whole world needs a Billion Teddys!! 🧸♥️🧸♥️🧸♥️
It's shocking me the idea that at his inauguration he wouldn't have had a microphone or anything and all those people just had to hope they hear him

Too long if you ask ol teddy he was miserable

Their bones are not dust unless they chose cremation.
Life is too short even if you live to be 100.

To see how many people there were back then over hundred yrs. ago......this must be a hell of a crowded world we live TODAY!!!
TR put on considerable weight since that 1897 film of him as Sec of the Navy at age 39.

My grandfather's favorite president
At 11:47 TR and his secret service in a carrige are a far cry from the Cadillac Beast of today.
The two secret service/police on horseback right behind him are cool as fuck looking.
Not so much the guy in the helmet behind them
This man lost both his mother & his wife on the same day 😞
He brought American people the sense of overwhelming power. He made the United States power...
Beautiful time. Fewer people. Fewer pollution. Most of the world's nature intact.
Teddy is responsible for the creation of America's National Park System, ergo he deserves credit for aiding in keeping America's nature intact.
And the National Forests too.

Kennedy, like all democrats was weak and little bit naive. America needs strong and confident guys. Someone between Teddy Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan.
Theodore Roosevelt would be appalled and dismayed at the Republican party if alive today.
He would be disappointed with what is going on now
Teddy would be MAGA hard
There has never been a more American Nationalist than Teddy
@@caseo9324No he wouldn't because MAGA is not about the conservative ideology, it's all about fascism.
