I think JeHova caused great floods (JeHova means god of disasters) but the flood of Noah was a deluge of illness and evil. They did themselves in not actual waters. The original scriptures says a deluge and The Most High was the Arch. 2nd Enoch 20:3 is The True Living God.

After the deluge, the once solid megalithic world was softened and changed from immersion. With sticks, stones and hands the emerging humans were able to carve temples, sculpt statues and inscribe history upon the malleable surfaces.
The slaves of Egypt were released when everything had dried solid enough again to make the work of dressing the stones impossible with the primitive tools available.
