just to clarify, rain doesn't bother Sonic in most canon, it's mostly just large bodies of water. You wouldn't be afraid of rain if you couldn't swim, but you'd sure as hell be terrified of a swimming pool. Though in this canon, it seems to just be water in general Sonic is afraid of.
I like to think that at the beginning when Sonic is gazing up at the painting of Heephis, the light is halfway on him and halfway not, and I think to think of that as a sign of what his personality or backstory is like. Some of it is good, some of it is depressing, the shade resembling the depression in his life and the light resembling the happiness in his life. It’s half and half, like caffeine but with a real life situation. But it’s balanced out perfectly, no imperfection within the state of his life. Sure, he lost a lot within the span of literally two days, or so, but there are still many things he has to look forward to in life, and he knows that. He knows that Tails, Knuckles and Amy would want him to continue on with his life even without them, and so would his dad and mom. But later on, when he gets Tainted, he realizes all he did and just becomes broken in half again, this time the half of his happiness becoming split in half, making things uneven. This causes him to become unstable due to how unbalanced and imperfect his happiness and depression is, therefore meaning that the depression half can take over due to it being large than the smaller happiness portion. So I believe that the beginning of this issue is basically like a clue to future issues regarding Sonic’s state or health later on. Just wanted to point that out if anyone was hoping they weren’t the only ones over analyzing that part.

Back in Sanctuary, on the stained glass window with pictures of the three original gods. .Those gods had five toes. . and since Cielio and Heephis are dead. . . Then that was Zielo in disguise! . . Somehow through that brief interaction with Sonic, I bet you he tainted Sonic or the necklace!

I found these randomly in my recommended, was hesitant about it at first but I'm loving the character interactions and quality of the sound effects! Maybe it also helps that I know nothing about the Sonic lore, prior to this at least 😋 Thanks to everyone involved, this series is great! Gonna keep watching now 👀
It’s insane how much the art improved. Like look at the first few chapters and not to be rude, but it looked only marginally better than Ken Penders but now... now it’s approaching Tyson Hesse levels.
I think I understand that whole soul split thing. When the soul is split, all that is left inside of the body is desire and desperation, along with any negative attributes the person had prior to having their soul torn. The Zeilo preys on the desire aspect by offering power and gifts, but also threatening to end one of the greatest desires the soul has; to stay alive.
