Your pineapple upside down cake look so delicious! I love hearing about your weekend. We had your mustard, garlic pork loin. It was so delicious and so easy. Loved it. Have a wonderful week.
I live in south Central Pennsylvania not too far from the Maryland line. When I was a child and we would visit our Long Island/ Fire Island NY relatives my dad made sure we hit the New Jersey diners! BTW I like your lipstick color!😊
You touched my heart when you said “I am so much more than Wright Watchers and my diet!”. And I realize I AM, TOO!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS REMINDER!!!! Happy Spring! ❤️
I would make several picky plates during the week with low points and calories to have a piece of that Pineapple Upside Down Cake 😋 A favorite 😋😋 After watching the live video I looked for organic choices today at the store. I also ordered the organic cheerios online. Organic lemons for my water and organic apples for baked apples. One step at a time. I don’t have avocado oil today so will use olive oil for the Mayo as I want to make some deviled eggs for the lunches this week. Very informative and just love the old cookbook, how fun. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much! Here is a great guide for organic (Dirty Dozen and Clean 15) it's from egw.org - one of my favorite sites and they have an app for cleaner products for body/home/food EWG’s Dirty Dozen List (Buy These Organic) Strawberries Apples Nectarines Peaches Celery Grapes Cherries Spinach Tomatoes Sweet bell peppers Cherry tomatoes Cucumbers EWG’s Clean 15 List (OK to Buy These Conventional) Avocados Sweet corn Pineapples Cabbage Sweet peas (frozen) Onions Asparagus Mangos Papayas Kiwifruit Eggplant Honeydew melon Grapefruit Cantaloupe Cauliflower
The pineapple upside down cake looks great. Also, I didn’t realize how easy it is to make mayonnaise. It was really cold here in NC yesterday also; didn’t get out of the 40’s, sunny but the wind was cutting. We’ve had to cover our blooming strawberries the last three nights because it’s been down in the 20’s; however Friday, it’s going to be 82. No wonder all of the flowers and trees are confused. Have a great week.
Joan, do you eat many fruits and veggies? I’m wondering if that might make you feel better. I try to make sure that eat at least two pieces of fruit and one serving of veggies every day. Preferably fresh rather than cooked. It makes a huge difference for me
My goal is 3 veg and 2 fruit every day - I do usually get that in, not always, but generally! We eat lots of veg at dinner - even if it's just one kind, I make a lot and we eat all of it!
There are very odd rules when it comes to bags. "Specialty" stores and some restaurants are allowed to give bags but they must be paper bags, so yes, take out does give bags!
I’ve begun taking down winter decor as well. Looking forward to Spring and all the new life it brings. 💝
Thank you for sharing your weekend 😃
Thank you! You too! It's so refreshing to "lighten" things up, isn't it?
That pineapple upside down cake looked sooooo good.
Your niece looks very young…more 30ish than 40!.
Thanks for sharing your weekend
Y’all take care❤
She does look young - she is amazing. Homeschools her 3 kids (since the pandemic) and is a pediatric nurse and just a phenomenal person!

That is one of my favorites!
My easiest meal to go out is lunch. I always order seafood and veggies/fruit. Easy peasey! And super yum!
Oh yes - seafood!!!

@@RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead that’s awesome!
Your niece did not look 40. Your mom got married the year I was born. Do restaurants give you bags for your carry out ~~~sandy

I’d be worried my cake would smell like bacon lol
HaHa! No bacon smell!
