I wish there were more videos for the older M113K motors..

I am installing oil catch can on my 2005 SL55, your video is very good but i have one question. The factory uses the small tube that goes up in the TB. In your video you suggest getting vacuum directly from supercharger inlet. Will pulling vacuum from supercharger be too much vacuum for the system? I am wondering why original design uses small tube in TB of it is not necessary.

What happens when the vehicle is ran without the charcoal canister line connected? I’ve heard a lot of people who change their valve covers end up with issues not realizing that line was never reinstalled.

You should do a drawing of everything you just explained. I know what you mean but just want to make sure. Thanks in advance

Is it too bad to leave it as it is without a catch can ?

What is your opinion on the recommended 0w40 oil for the m113k. I'm wanting to switch to rotella 15w40 it's a diesel truck oil, has more anti wear additives.

What type of oil did you ultimately decide on?

Is it common for these motors to have crank case pressure? Mine is at 150k miles, does not burn oil or smoke but noticed the other day there is quite a bit of pressure coming out the oil filter cap...

      f. tex hi, these engines are 13 to 16 years old plus the 150k miles definitely the engine have blow by. If you are planning to keep this car schedule an engine refresh ( gaskets, seals etc ).
      Thanks

@@TasosMoschatos Thank you for the reply!! Yes, I love my E55. I agree, also this car has had a pulley And tune for much of it's life and has definitely been abused.. Thank you for your content much appreciated. I wouldn't trust anyone with the car so I plan on refreshing the engine myself. Learning a lot from you.

Tasos Moschatos my s55 is not boosting , when I use torque app the vaccum gauge never went into boost . The vaccum only reach -1 or 1 not boost 1 . This means I’m not holding boost or bypass valve ?

AmgMadness hi, either you have a huge leak or most probably the bypass throttle it's always open. Thanks

My cls55 eats oil 1l on 600km do you think my engine needs complete restoration?

I'm facing a similar situation with a C55. Have you decided to go forward with the rebuild?
