Vonderbar , Irish guy here attempting a German word LOL. Dag please re-post the beautiful video, guy and girl meeting for the first time in the German underground, one of the best ,happy, emotional videos , please please get the video out again. Danke schon ❤❤❤
Great to have this interview after all these years. Thank you DJ Dag for pursuing your own heart, making this great track and choosing a male vocal. You are correct, this would have been a top 10 track had it had promotional backing. Take A Freefall is one of the best dance tracks of the 90's and Tony Clark's vocal is sensational.
I must watch the same videos 3 or for times a week ;) I still remember picking up the CD single of take a free fall every Monday I used to pick up a bunch of releases without fail I miss the 90's I hate all this download streaming Spotify (I never use) I still buy CD singles and maxis today even if I already own a copy... from my late teens ro my late 40's I never stopped....ill be buying CDs forever of all the 90's I will always find something new......on disc...
Dag is a living legend and the song he did with his daughter together is huge. Hopefully he will recover from his accident. He is in poor health, isn't he?
This was one of the first Dance to Trance tracks that introduced me and my friends to the amazing german trance scene in the 90's... We followed DJ Dag all the way to club UK in London on many occasions when he was djing... incredible memories ❤
Would be interesting to hear something about Power of American Natives. I presented this song in English class when we started to learn stuff about America in class 8 here in Germany in 2010. At that time 90's techno music wasn't very popular [anymore] for teens - excepted me :).
I am really looking forward to this one. I've watched that music video zonked out so many times... It's already quite nostalgic for me. It's so unique and bizzare and the song is so melodic and sweet while still hard. The music video is one of my favorites of all time in the genre. I hope he discusses why they went with the theme of a topless dude sitting on a spinning CGI gear. What software did they use to do the compositing in the video?
Dag is a legend and a big influence on the trance sound. However he's a little bit arrogant towards styles he doesn't like, for example he calls Eurodance shit. It might not be everyones style, but Eurodance had its place and was a succesful worldwide movement. Frankfurt can be proud of this sound and its success.
@@muzikxpress I take it you talked about it with at least one of them in private. Are they at least on speaking terms? If they want to keep the issue private, we'll accept your silence! 😉
The Laser Room was a small room in the Dorian Gray Club where the DJs could retreat for a moment to freshen up 🤪 There were a lot of rumors about the Laser Room at the time about what had happened there.
@@SoundofFrankfurt Thank You So Much! So good to finally have that itch scratched - but the fact it comes with historical significance, and that you've taught me some history of club culture that I otherwise didn't know is fantastic! :)
Not at all, but sometimes people give long answers and sometimes people give short answers, which obviously makes the video a lot shorter. Not much I can do about that 😉
Don't forget to check out my interview with DJ Dag about the Dance 2 Trance debut track "We Came In Peace": th-cam.com/video/4ZzMFAtpWr8/w-d-xo.html

Der Motorradunfall war 2023. Geht ihm wieder gut.
I love this track, it was the first trance music I ever listened to, I caught the video on the TV when I was a kid. Mind-blowing moment 😅
Nice interview. Good to know about the background of the classic tune. Thanks for doing this.
@@fezmania5078 thank you as always! Much appreciated! 🙌🏻

I remember my mate brought a DJ DAG tape back from Amsterdam in the early 90s,
It soundtracked that summer ,
Absolutely loved it
Oh Superman ….

I already did one about it with Jam El Mar a few years ago, check the links in the video description 😉
Thank you

@@awesomeferret I did ask a little bit about the video too, but not sure if all your answers about the video will get answered 😉
Could you also do an interview with Benno de Goeij about one of his many classics? The man deserves more recognition
@@Jbm01006 I did ask him 3 times already…. No luck so far….

Very good but why not interviewed with Rolf Elmer together. Dag & Rolf was Dance 2 Trance.
Well, that’s very simple: have you seen them together after they split up? There’s your answer …😉

Does anyone know in the track "Where is Dag?" where he is? I've never understood the vocal "Where is Dag? He is in *something something something*
"He is in the Laser Room"

Am I crazy or is there a Technics DZ 1200 next to the lava lamp? The failed Technics answer to the CDJ?
Did you have to catch a train? ;) I guess the idea was to make your videos a bit compact, but here the interview feels a bit rushed to me.
