Don't get me wrong, I love the 904. But It always looked a bit sedate, it wasn't of course but with the steel wheels, silver paint (most of them) and narrow tires.... This one however looks very aggressive, and I love it. Great car.
I saw these racing at Snetterton.Had the Scalextric kit build version in yellow.That rear spoiler is not original. I think there were both flat four and flat six versions around 2 litres.
@@pl1068 No, almost certainly nothing water cooled. And there is nothing that speaks against using a VW Beetle or 911 drive train in a mid engined configuration after the ring gear has been turned around. Porsche did it quite regularly.

Typically an air cooled 3 liter flat six. Mid engine. See their website.
