Yes, this is Tarja... this was a golden era of Nightwish, that can not be repeated. And i am glad, that I was a part of it these days. It was pure love... of course Floor is a great singer, but like always in life, the first love will never be forgotten!

Tarja is simply incredible, the adaptation she makes of her lyrical voice to metal is simply something worth seeing. From Tarja's stage in Nightwhish there are wonderful interpretations, but you should react to "The Phantom of the Opera" and the original version of "Ghost Love Score". Two authentic jewels that will undoubtedly leave you impressed by its greatness.

I am finnish music lover and followed Nightwish from their start. For me it was surprising that Nightwish ever could go on without Tarja because she and Tuomas toghether kind of was Nightwish. I am happy that it worked out in the end. And I adore Floor Jansen. But still feel Tarja got robbed. She WAS the first of whole genre.
Same for me (though I'm not finish, I'm from germany). I can't stand those who argue about who's better or how trash the other one is. Such people exists in both extreme camps. Tarja and Floor are actually good friends and it's a disgrace to try to shit-talk on one of them. They are both incredible singers, both with their own style, strength and weaknesses. When they "kicked our" Tarja I also though that this would be the end of NW. Though it really turned out well. I had a similar feeling again when Marco announced that he's leaving. Though they now have Troy. Not as a replacement but as an extension. The band simply evolved and it's amazing that they are still going. I still hope that Marco may come back, but I understand and respect his reasons. Yes, the way how Tarja was handled just wasn't right. It was a kinda coward move, but hey, we're all just humans and who are we to judge. We were not in that situation and to this day we only have partial information. I think all of them have gotten over it so it's a think from the past.

Tarja Turunen was a founder of the band with Tuomas and Emppu. It was her voice that helped define/create the genre of symphonic metal. 1996 - to this night Oct 21, 2005. The split was not amicable and all parties admit handled badly. This was the end of the world tour for their 5th album Once. On which you find this remixed version of the single from 1999 written by request of Finland's tourism industry for that year's solar elclipse. Tarja very much a driving perfectionist was unhappy with her original recording. New equipment, more formal education at a German music academy, the band more experienced. They knew they could do better. This even has a 2nd official video featuring the entire band at the time not just a young 20 yo Tarja. They slowed the tempo slightly. The video has a knights in armour fantasy theme. Tarja as an Angel (of death) perhaps? Once was the 1st album to feature the London UK Symphony Orchestra and London Metro Voices choir on it. Released in 2004. That same gown is seen in the 2nd video. 9 years, world tours. Festivals, TV etc. They were in top form even though both Tarja and Marko had colds. Heck Tarja was given DR's orders not to perform that night as she could not sing the sound check. But last night of the tour back home in Finland. Recording for the DVD was already scheduled. They couldn't postpone it. And still it sounds so beautiful. Tarja and Marko have classical training. The contrast yet match between them you will discover was an era of pure magic. 222 days of night is how far into the year before the eclipse happened. The audience was 11, 500 in attendence. The rapture Tarja holds the audience has only grown stronger in her solo career since 2007. She is a global superstar and this week her In The Raw tour is going through Germany. There are so many performances to see that have top notch recordings you can be years going through them. Should be mentioned Tarja ever humble and sweet, loved by everyone including Floor Jansen who went to Tarja 1st as they were friends when offered to join NightWish as their 3rd singer after Anette had to leave tour. She went into labour with her child over xmas. Tarja gave Floor her blessings. They met when Floor was still in her previous band. The Ladies are fast friends to this day. And Kittos ( thank you) for this reaction.

I am a ‘Floorfan’ above all, but both previous singers contributed so much to Nightwish and any appreciation of the entirety of Nightwish requires due attention be given to Tarja and Anette. Even as a devout Floorfan, I think reactors to Floor renditions of Nightwish run the risk of missing the talents of her predecessors.

I think this is clearly the best and most emotional live there is of this great NW ballad. Up to this they have done 5 albums already and grown to the global leader of this genre from zero.
What Tuomas did to Tarja was unacceptable. Today, Tarja is very stronger and successful and I am so happy for her. And Marko quit Nightwish too, after Jukka for medical reasons. Flor is the unique singer now in this group. And Tarja, I always used to love until 2005, created a very solid and good group. I was in her Raw Tour concert in Paris on february 6th, it was UNBELIEVABLE ❤❤❤❤❤❤, so GOOD, 16 years after the horrible souvenir in 2005 after the last concert, by a letter at her hotel. What a terrible shame to the Nightwish group of the moment 👿👿👿👿👿
Nightwish is gone without Tarja. They can play whatever they want but Tarja was and will always be Nightwish. I will never listen to their "new" stuff. Without Tarja, they're gone.
I love all three singers in this band. It’s so nice to get a Tarja song. Most reactions are Floor which is how it should be, since she’s their present singer. But the variety is welcome.
