A lot of misdemeanors were changed into felonies but only if you have lawyers or are connected can you dodge the other side and sometimes it still won't work as I've done time with both types of people. Fighting for freedom doesn't come without danger. Options include getting killed, leaving the State or City or of course prison. In high profile cases some people had to leave the Country if they didn't want to end up "missing." Freedom is fragile and yet very valuable and it's based on one choice at a time. Makes the ladies very hesitant to date any real man in today's "America." Times have changed, forever.
