With due respect to Sri M, he is contradicting himself. On the one hand he states that, in some parts of the Saundarya lahari, the Srividya bijaksharas are expressed in hidden form, hence one needs the assistance of a Guide (Guru). While the same thing is applicable with the Gayatri mantra which requires a person to undergo Upanayanam by a competent Guru, before starting chanting... Yet Sri M doesn't talk about that at all. Even at the beginning of the video, he is linking the Gayatri (which is a Vedic chant) with the Shaktas (who are a Tantric sect). The point here is not whether women can or cannot chant the Gayatri mantra, but that they (and anyone else interested in chanting) need to undergo the Upanayanam ceremony under a Guru, before they can start chanting the mantra, to see the benefits. Also the mantra should be chanted in a particular intonation, all these only the Guru can teach.
My point is, if Saundarya Lahari has bija aksharas and hence need to be taught under the guidance of a Guru, then shouldn't Gayatri, the greatest mantra of all, need even more guidance? That is precisely why there is an elaborate Upanayanam ceremony for initiating a vatu to Gayatri. After the ceremony, the vatu becomes a 'dvija', and Gayatri becomes his second mother. So all these things has deep significance and cannot be ignored just like that. If someone casually says - "you just start reciting Gayatri mantra", never mind upanayanam etc, that person is talking through his hat.
@Arindam P, it seems you don't know what Upanayanam is. It is not a mere ceremony at all. It requires the involvement of a Guru. Why do you think, Sri M said at the end of the video, that some slokas of the Saundarya Lahari cannot be recited just like that, but needs the guidance of a Guru?Anyway, let us leave it aside for now. Let us take up your logic in the context of this video. Even the recitation of a mantra is a "ritual" practice only. So, according to you, if "spirituality and rituals don't go on same line", then are you saying that recital of the Gayatri or Saundarya Lahari, is not spirituality, and actually takes you away from the divine? Then according to your belief, the whole purpose of this video is meaningless as it just takes a person away from spirituality. So why do you think Sri M has devoted so much time exhorting people to recite mantras?
I connect with my Devi - how are these Gurus to do a ceremony. I don't need mediators. I yearn for direct contact with the Devis. These concept of "gurus" for everything is pure BS IMHO.
@@cbrcoder problem is you want results as promised in scriptures...but you want to conduct the rituals by your own rules. Either avoid the scriptures completely or follow it properly...dont edit it acc to your own will.
No contradiction brother......Gayatri mantra has no secret bija aksharas, that's all..... If u learn from a guru also, then he teaches u same the way u r doing it now.....Gayatri mantra is a very popular mantra, because it has great effect but it has no secret bija aksharas like Sri vidya.........Tantra gayatri(Sri vidya) has no words, no slokas, but some bija aksharas but it has immense power, so it should be done with the guide of guru.....
