I was born the same year as Disney World and went and celebrated my 50th birthday, (actually 50-1/2 because I waited until Disney started their celebration 😁), in October 2021 so I could celebrate with Disney. Now it is 2023 and they are still celebrating. My daughter told me I had to stop once I turned 51. 🤣 Never eaten at the Boathouse. Definitely have to give it a try next time I am in the area.

I can tell ya from experience--what makes the Boathouse Restaurant one of the tops in the US is that the food is fantastic, and NOT Disney expensive. Very, Very reasonable for Walt Disney World. And always terrific quality.

Boathouse is my favorite as well! I’ve been watching so much about it from so many people. We finally went there for the first time two weeks ago. We are going back next week! I’m so happy we moved down here from PA! I do miss the first snow but nothing after that!

20:40 A lot of history with Sosa Cigars. There used to be an awesome cigar bar named, 'Fuegos,' which carried their cigars that was closed about 10 years ago. Then the store you showed was still there and now it's all gone. I think as you said remnants of days of Pleasure Island and I would guess not renewed as smoke type places aren't super 'Disney' and family-esque.

It's been over 20 years since I've been to WDW... when I visited, Paradise Pier still existed. I remember we got in late, but we were hungry so we walked down here to the district and... I half think this place was called the Yacht Club or something at the time, but it was definitely the same building. It was great back then too.

I've only parked in Lime Garage, which tests my will power, as the escalator dumps you right at Polite Pig.....I've never been at Animal Kingdom at night. It really seems like a totally different park. Thanks for the quick visit. By the way-I think you should seriously consider creating your own line of fedoras-I was expecting to see you in a tasteful holiday style......maybe Roosevelt would partner with you...just a thought.....

Happy New Year cookie Nate! I’m glad the stinky cigar store is closing. I could never go to the ice cream store next door because of the smell. The place will have to be gutted because 25 years of smoke will be in the walls, ceiling and floor.

I agree that the Coconut Shrimp at the Boathouse is really good. I saw something new on their menu when you showed it, the Main Lobster Tail Oscar (topped with lump crab and bearnaise sauce). I've had that at other restaurants with a steak and it's very good.
