Intelligence already is Relevant as of the culture update. Each of the Intelligent people add a slight boost to the culture development tree. Trust me, it adds up really quickly!

This game should add "tech steal" as a secret bonus to "genius" trait. It makes no sense that you get destroyed with bows for years... and as a genius you don't get the: "oh, I have an idea... to steal this tech" lighting up in your head.
Geniuses aren’t strong enough to bend wood with their bare hands. Maybe some tool tinkering skills would help with that?

Possibly initial headstart of stronk bois in armory is because smart bois lived peacfully with wise animals and didn't feel the need to develop weapons. While stronk bois fight for their lives with giant crabs and learned armory craftmanship the hard way.

I feel like the leadership trait you gave the smart bois helped them immensely especially when you turned angry villagers on. The leadership would have helped them keep that under control while the stronk bois just had to sit there and take it. Great vid though
Leadership is a natural consequence of intellect more-so than strength though. Alexander, Caesar, Napoleon, etc. are the greatest leaders throughout history and they are all considered strategical geniuses. Brutes are more likely to compose the hordes of warriors led by the intelligent leaders.
We even see this pattern repeated in fiction, with the stereotypical cunning dark lord leading armies of illiterate monsters/orks, etc.

Your smart definition is too broad, booksmart, streetsmart, fighting smart, war smart, talking communicate smart. Many different types of smart. You think you're smart when your body is weak? It only takes 20 min to workout so you cant be that smart if you are weak. You cant be stupid if you are strong, nowadays you can a lot more. Better traits with strong people, smarts will only get you in trouble. Smarts relates to manipulation and trickery, bargaining. Smarts is good for you, but generally bad for the rest of the group if you are bad or you have a different agenda from the group. Think about what smart people do nowadays, use their smarts to scam money, how to make their lives personally better, smart usually means more selfish. Not bad because it's important to focus on yourself, but are you really focusing on yourself if you dont work out? Using your brain to make money, how about use your brain to make you physically stronger, and make money with your brain and strength. Jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one.

Also, why would he make the less physically developed faction faster when this is a physical trait, AND make the physically developed faction slower at reproducing when this drastically gives the former faction a numbers advantage? It's disingenuous to propose this as a fair brains vs brawns experiment.
Making civilians aggressive should have been done either from the start or not at all, I don't see where "helping out" one side is to be considered fair-you can also argue he did this on purpose because he knew the smart faction had more people, and after a small setback from all the adults being picked off, the numbers advantage gets really obvious.

Please consider a few things:
He made the physically strong ugly (which is not a trait reliant on intelligence and once he activated aggressive villagers it becomes relevant due to the smart faction not being slowed down in creating numbers for combat) and later on stupid, but didn't make the smart group weaker (I agree there, being smart doesn't mean you're weak) AND he gave the smart faction a buff when they were already starting to do well.
Riddle me this: why is the smart faction fast? He made the strong faction ugly and stupid but he made the smart faction fast, in general, the smart faction has more buffs and the strong faction is the only one with debuffs.
And throughout the video he is only cheering on the smart faction.
The video is well made, but you cannot make a fair brains vs brawns debate while also falling back on the spirit of discussion by tipping the scales whenever it suits you.
The guy literally made the smart boys weaker by having 0 armour and 100hp like bruh

This was a biased run. You can tell that Mellon favors the Geniuses. First off, the geniuses get 5 traits, and all of them are positive, while the warriors get 4 traits, and one of them is ugly, which is negative. Being ugly has nothing to do with being a warrior. Also, the geniuses get agility buff, which has nothing to do with the brain. He also makes them honest, which would help with leadership stuff, but this too has nothing to do with being a genius or warrior. There are dishonest geniuses, and honest warriors. That's already 3 traits favoring the geniuses.
Also, if you listen to him, you can tell that he's constantly expecting the geniuses to perform better than the warriors. He's consistently cheering for cheering for the geniuses, though to his credit, he doesn't do anything other than the traits to effect the run.
He probably hates strong people because he is small weak nerd

Actually, he does do one more thing: activate aggressive villagers mid-war.
Since the smart faction doesn't have a slower reproduction rate, they are at a numbers advantage just because he decided to make the strong faction ugly for no reason.
He also made them stupid which would slow them down additionally.
The video is of high quality, but the guy tipped the scales in favor of the smart faction at least twice.

i think the stong dudes lost their traits so it made half the fighting strong vs random traits/no traits. So the smart side even though they lost their traits by then to benefited from the technology that they gained from the traits. Not fair. :P Needs to keep updating the traits

the smart bois did not get weapons fast because they not think of the possibility of ppl on the other side, and there would be no rebellions because the smart people all sgree. they didnt prep for weapons, but as soon as the walls fell they started shooting out weapons

Seems I was correct. Can't deny I now feel sorry for the stronk bois. Got their buts kicked so hard despite being so close to victory earlier on. I guess not being smart enough to recognize their upper hand in time may have been the reason of their downfall...
