In it, 120 Indian Infantry men made a last stand against a Pakistani Armoured Regiment (45 tanks) and a Pakistani Infantry Brigade (3000 men). Only two Indians died in that battle whereas Pakistan lost numerous tanks and men and was routed from the battlefield when Indian Air Force jets showed up next morning to provide air support. The 120 men held out 45 enemy tanks and 3000 enemy soldiers throughout the night. They could only count on some artillery support and a couple of 105 mm recoil-less rifles mounted on jeeps.
