When they made their debut in 2015, Somin was the leader and lead vocalist. With the announcement of her departure from the group, I was sad to see her leave, but hoped she would be successful in the things she chose to pursue next. Now a member of Kard, I will still continue to wish the best for her.

i just watched Aprils LALALILA. It was good. And i came straight here because i wanted to learn more about them. SOMIN WAS A MEMBER?!!? Omg i love her so much i didnt know she was the leader of another group? does anyone know why she left?

@@mireiapjh7144 oh yeah that makes since. I'm a stan of KARD and as soon as I saw that somin was a member I just thought it didn't really fit her lol
@@mireiapjh7144 actually there's more to the story than just Somin not liking the concept. firstly, Somin and Chaekyung debuted in a girl group in 2012 named Puretty. they were created for Japan audience, but they didn't succeed and had to disband.
Then Somin joined APRIL in 2015. She had to go thru all the process of a new rookie group again with concepts suited to the group's average age at the time (Jinsol was only 13 yrs old) which was cute concepts. Somin must've felt awkward doing these concepts allover again since she was already nearing adulthood and had done these concepts for at least 2 yrs as a Puretty member.
Then a year later Somin left the group. the reasons why she left were written in a hand written letter to her fans stating that she needed time to herself to explore her talents and learn new skills. But later on she joined a highly risky experimental project which we now know as the one and only co-ed group KARD.
i suspected that her leaving APRIL was carefully planned by DSP since APRIL was still a rookie and the only group still active at the time and DSP was in dire need of an alternative income. so they needed Somin to help create that alternative group (KARD) which suited her age and skills.
I hope this helps shed some light into why Somin left APRIL :)

I first got to know about April through oh! My mistake which is such a BOP. It was used in an intro ans i traced it. Normally, i would judge before stanning and there would always be a member i wont really like but end up liking after weeks or even months and i hate myself for that but in april, i appreciated everyone at first impression and loved everyone. They gave a new vibe to me no one gave

omg, i just discovered this group and i'm ready to staaaan(their recent comeback is a bop!!!/also, naeun was such an irresistible angel in extraordinary you); tho, i can't deny, it breaks my heart to see the history of the group over the years with members leaving and all 😢 (that's like one of the worst case scenarios that can happen to a group) & the fact that they've been in the industry for quite awhile already but i've heard they haven't gotten any wins yet?(correct me if i'm wrong 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺) they seem very hard working and talented. the visual also snaps. i've only heard two of their songs but loved it 100%. the group's chemistry is soooo good as well. theyre a bunch of dorky and humorous girls(i've watched their ep of question parade, it was so funny & effortlessly entertaining !!) so glad to know they've launched quite a lot of mini albums already, that means more songs to listen!!! cant wait to discover more of them!! ❤️❤️❤️

yuumeh if you see the kprofiles page it says that jinsol is lead vocalist and chaewon main vocalist
yes i saw it earlier on kprofiles but something went wrong. maybe they made a mistake in editing jinsol. don't believe in kprofiles sometimes because it's wrong. in her performance, she is always the one who can hit highnotes very powerful voice. chaewon is softest voice.
