  • It was a fun ride, but now we have to move on
I do not own these clips and I make no intention of owning them. I am simply uploading these videos for the love of college football. I just want everyone to enjoy the PAC-12 and what it represented. So I hope you can find it in your heart to not claim this video and let the college football community have some enjoyment.

    3 things
    1. I'll deeply miss this great conference
    2. Washington should have played in 2020 conference title but had Covid
    3. In 2014 Mark Helfrich is coaching Oregon on its way to a CFB Playoff berth- then 6 years later he's long been fired at Oregon and is announcing Oregon vs USC. Just find that odd

Washington should have played in the 2022 conference championship. Tied conference record, but better overall record, ranked higher than any other PAC 12 school in EVERY poll, and even had a better point differential than the teams they were tied with. But I guess it’s the rule they all agreed to. I just don’t get SOS being a tiebreaker above a teams record.

none really cared about this conference before it was announced it was falling apart once USC and UCLA proposed to leave the conference. only people who cares where the regional fans…..which was the problem. ultimately ending in its demise. because the commissioner couldn’t keep up, and missed the memo. the Pac-12 is an interesting conference, most cannot explain the importance and history it holds as a power conference. it kept the balance in sports as you had the B1G and SEC jawing at it, the Pac-12 was the middle man. and the Big-12 and ACC were the weird uncles. as the G5 conferences were the nieces and nephews.
Oregon State and Washington State are trying what they can to rebuild the conference, not having the funds to jump ship from conferences and wanting to keep traditions. the Mountain West didn’t say on merging, only to schedule games with the Pac-12. 6 to be in fact. 5 P5, 6 G5, 1 FCS in the west, was to be the format for football. as for basketball and other sports, it’s gonna be an uphill battle but much more conferences to negotiate with.

The Big Ten has been around longer than the PAC and only two of its schools are on the East Coast.
I have been a transplant from Minneapolis to the Los Angeles area for 25 years, yet I was still able to have better access to the Big Ten and my favorite school the
Golden Gophers than the USC Trojans because cable and satellite actually carried the Big Ten network while nobody cared about the PAC 13 network.
No wonder USC bailed on the PAC.
They will get far better exposure and conference payouts playing most of their road games ( still assured of getting a game in the Pacific Northwest and the crosstown UCLA game) in the Midwest.
Remember USC came to the Big Ten wanting to ditch the PAC.
Nobody begged them to join a Chicago based conference even if doing so made everyone a ton of money.

LSU and the SEC started this mess when they gutted the Big 12 by taking its biggest brands Texas and Oklahoma. Nobody was crying when it seemed like that conference would implode after being raided.
The PAC sat on its laurels and didn’t shore itself up by going after
      the Big 12s other brands.
Instead they sat there and let USC
and UCLA leave because they saw the PAC would never do what it needed to do to make the most money.

@@braydonphilpot9141 I took it like we (Utah grad here) were excluding from “not being there until the end”. Maybe I was wrong.
It does feel like teams with a century in a conference together bailing on that and blowing it up is different from Utah not wanting to go down with the ship.
But WSU and OSU are willing to go down with it and even salvage it and there’s something cool to that. Even though Utah wasn’t there for most of it, I grew up in Las Vegas and my parents are from California. Pac10 games are what I watched growing up and what my dad watched growing up. I’m glad Utah got to be part of that for a decade but losing the Pac is so much more than that.

It’s going to be such a shame to see the Pac-12 go, but hopefully Washington can at minimum win a CFP game for them to at least get into the national championship game since Oregon is the only one to do it. If Washington State and Oregon State go to the Mountain West, then that conference is going to get crazy. Boise State is back to form, UNLV and Air Force are on the rise, Fresno State is always pretty solid, and now there may be teams like San Jose State and Wyoming forming some consistency with bowl eligible teams at minimum. We could be seeing up to 8 teams fighting to win the conference next year and maybe in the next few years with Washington State and Oregon State, assuming they join.

No, but the name definitely would be fitting for that. Every true Chargers fan would have the same name for their accounts. If you’re wondering how cursed this team is, their only ever championship was during the 1963-1964 season, when they beat the Boston Patriots 51-10. They had two Hall Of Famers on that team, being tackle Ron Mix and wide receiver Lance Alworth, the latter of which is considered to be one of the greatest players in NFL history. Besides that year though, it’s just pain

A possible solution to remedy reviving PAC from Death Nail and Allow western Colleges to continue existence for next 5-10 years. Hoping that former Members return, after learning Traveling Yearly Budget Losses due to FBS Natty Protocols 14+ Team Conference req + Title 9 BS might not be Best option vs FCS or Football Autonomous Subdivision for Paid Athletes wo Title 9 Implications schools having only 65 Scholarships + Transfer Portals. If MWC + BSC + PAC2 merge it could draw both N / S Dakota Schools to PAC East. PAC-12 Members leaving occurred due to Media Rights and Not pending Final 2 Years of Broadcasting Payments / Deal being Formed or Completed. Some University wanted to Leave due to PAC-12 current Administrations Mismanagements past 5-10 years, expecting 40-50m yearly Budgets vs projected 20-30m staying and Carrying other Conference Members having worse Viewers / Attendance Financials on Basketball and Football Fronts. FYI: I’m a USC / UCLA Fan still feel bad that the Conference Realignments / Transfer Portals / NIL Deals / Paid Athletes killed the PAC Conference in the End it was all about Money.
