This made me remember a Japanese Tiger I made by a little-known company back in 1970 (?). What was remarkable was that the entire tank was painted Normandy camo at the factory and you just needed to assemble it.
Honestly after researching German AFV camouflage tirelessly, there really is no bad camo pattern as most of the time they were done by the crew out in the field.
Another great video! I have also found the new Tamiya paints to be very good...much better than the old greenish XF-60 for example :) I did really like the photos you showed of your friend's Pz IV. I remember seeing that on FB and it really caught my eye as a good job making "crappy" camouflage. It takes a lot of skill to make it look like it was a rushed or unskilled painter in 1/35 scale, not an unskilled modeler airbrushing his model! The key in my eye is to make the imperfections and movements of the spray pattern very small to match the reach of a little 1/35 scale person's arm. Also, on this version of Tiger those grenades launchers on the hull are not smoke launchers (which were on the turret of earlier Tiger). Instead, those hull mounts are anti-personnel S-mines..."bouncing betties". Great work, and I look forward to the next one!
Also: I was reading on your website last night and you showed a PLL-05 Chinese light vehicle. Can you share the camouflage paint colors you used on it? Thank you :)
thx for your info about S-minen! I missed it reading the books :) Talking about Pz IV - it is really awesome woark and this is I decided to ask Lukasz for permission to publish them in my movie. I love the effect and in final layout which he showed on the diorama it looks awesome.
thx. Weathering starts next week but will be divided into small parts becasue I decided to make How To Paint movies for beginners. But I hope they will be useful :)
FYI: - The tubes on the Tiger's hull are not "smoke grenade launchers". They fire S-mines only. - No Tiger of "Das Reich" was painted grey at the factory. (Source: Doyle and Jentz.)
That paint job was absolutely perfect, I look forward to the weathering video, it's funny, but I have never built a Tiger, maybe I will sometime soon, very best regards from Australia, keep safe and well in this crazy covid world.
Thx Les for your comment. There is a lot of models to build but truly speaking the tiger is so famous that everybody who starts the modelling hobby wants to build it. Almost everyone :)
Great build and great review mate!🙌🏻 Subscribed instantly 💯 Ps probably stupid question but sometimes I wonder what is actual difference between tiger early, tiger mid production and tiger late? I see that late tiger wheels r bit different as they got some rivits and escape hatches.I e i have dragon tiger mid production and rfm tiger mid production (full interior) so I guess my masteclub metal tracks for tiger early production wont be suitable? Many thanks
You need to analyse the pictures. There were more differences than the wheels :) Early tracks are no good option for mid tiger but ... you know, different things happened during the war and becasue of lack of the materials. :)
@@coldemonspl many thanks for reply and yes u r right 🙌🏻 As i mainly been building u boots I guess I need dig deeper and expand my knowledge on ww2 tanks🌞💯
Are the AK Airllbrushes OK like? I'm building that full interior ferdinand just now from amusing hobby, quite alot of clean up on it what surprised me! So it's been good build but heck of alotnif flash n off set seamlines there pretty bad for amusing hobby kit's! Yeah the panzer 4 I think the paints still way to vibrant on it weathings good but needs faded out alot more!
The AK airbrush is ok. I like it a lot! It paint nicely and I have nothing bad to say about it. Highly recommended. I built some Amusing models in the past and they were standard with no pain during the building stage. So Im a bit suprised that there are some cleaning works.
Thx a lot. Well, the mixture is different each time because I mix them more or less 75% of red and 25% of brown. You know how it works. :) Sometimes better sometimes worse :) just check your own proportions. :)
Hey Lukasz :) Very nice build as always. I am curious about the red primer on the inside of the wheels. is it artistic freedom or were they actually red ? Thanks, Best regards from Denmark : ) Mike H
I think it's more artistic freedom than correct historical fact but it looks quite nice, isn't it? :) Thank you very much mate! I highly recommend you to join the Patreon to see more, exclusive to the Patreons :)

The colors of the PLL-05 are: base XF-67+XF-3, dark green XF-61+XF-3, sand xf-59.

Looks good…. I also use the new Tamiya German colours both the lacquers and the regular acrylics..
They are very nice. I will use them again in future projects.
Nicely done sir the Tiger is coming along nicely like the paint job will look forward to the weathering
thx a lot Greg. There will be couple episodes of weathering. Stay tuned!

thx a lot mate! Well the weathering starts next Monday. There will be a lot of work in couple episodes :)
@@coldemonspl great look forward to watching thanks for sharing your great work
Slide a bit of paper under your tools when painting on the model it's heck of alot easier!
This is one of the way to paint them. And yes, I use the paper sometimes :)
the painting is really beautiful, strongly the continuation 😉
thx a lot! Next Monday the next episode will be published. :)
beautiful video thank you for this contents very helpful!!!

Good Video, my Friend. I must admit that I have NEVER made a Tiger! Why would I when you do such a good job?

Hey Lukasz, great build. Can you let us know your mixing ratio for the German reddisch factory primer using XF-7 and XF-9?

Dziekuję Robert! No ile czasu to trwało to musiałbyś zapytać autora IV'ki :)
Wow!!!! Can you tell me how to make a German flag for the tank?
Use milliput or greenstuff and then paint it :)
So you only apply the gloss varnish in the area where the decals go? Not the full model?
Yes, at this stage only under the decals. Later when the decals are dry I sprayed the whole model. :)
@@coldemonspl thanks mate!
@@coldemonspl one more question, is it okay to apply pigments onto gloss varnish with pigment fixer?
@@bniga000 no, mat surface is better option. :)

Nice Progress on the tiger, i like the camo 👌Wich color and brand did u use on the towcable?
Thx! The towing cable are the best from Eureka XXL. And they are not finished, just base color for next weathering :)
The whole tank should be red primed.
Maybe you're right :)
Which kit is this please?
