Kiba, I can't tell you how much I love this video. It's by far the longest I've spent working on any one video, and you were absolutely wonderful throughout. Thank you again.
Nice job at dancing but I no this has nothing to do with this really but were is that hotel and weres anthrocon and whens the next furcon and were is it
I look around and what do I see? normal people at a fur con yes people you'd find on the streets and think nothing of them people with families and simple lives but they come to a fur con cus they like anthro characters and creativity so why is the fandom hated so much I don't know I really don't and this is coming from an outsider
+venomousbook because of a few people and some really bad tv shows portrayed the fandom as some group of sexual deviants and people refuse to do their own research and would rather hate just to hate.
+TheMysticashes this is what makes me the better person I don't like to jump to conclusions about things I like to know as much info as possible before I act on it
venomousbook this may have been a year ago, but the story goes a bit deeper than just that. In the 80s when the fandom was first starting to branch out from other standard conventions, people thought that we should have cons of our own, so they started the first fur cons. This was all well and good, and no one knew what the heck a furry was. The problem was that these individuals did not know how to *run* a convention, and the costs quickly caught up. In response, they advertised to the more adult side of the community to increase attendance, since, in the end, we are all the same fandom and who cares what you do behind closed doors? However, the con chairs did not update the code of conduct, what little there was, to adapt to this new audience. By this point, people started to notice the convention's presence, so news teams started coming in, and saw many unfiltered adult activities due to all of these factors. THIS is what started the whole stereotype. A horrible first impression based on the naivete of the first ever Furry cons. They eventually died because those who were uncomfortable left and made their own cons with strict codes of conduct, many of which still run today.
All your videos are smothered in awesome-sauce. Wish I had those mad videography skills. Love it!
