Oh yes! This brings back memories. Went from Stelvio down to the mountain lakes, too. Lago di Regio, Lago d'Iseo. It's so beautiful down there. Excellent video.

It's all about dem drops xD A few of them were pretty shear...especially on the Gavia Pass! Makes the riding all the more fun...need to ride that road harder in the dry just to shit my leathers :'D

P4 peels off for a few & it's this? Should have had SM tires, at least on the rear, for mounting curbs & crumbling lanes to get "the shot". Hey Finn, My friends and i are going to do a 2 week trip around the apls in the end of july. In Italy we're mostly staying north but do you have any advice on things to see and places to go? We're from canada by the ways so this will be our first euro bike trip.
Well...if you're coming all that way I better make sure my advice is good! Do the Italian lakes...so Garda, Iseo and Como. I found all my places through AirBnB with either a parking space or garage. Stay by the water so you can swim...totally worth it in the height of summer! The town of Argegno (Lake Como) is really nice and has a boat rental place (Turati) and all the restaurants in town were ace. There's a cable car that goes to the top of the hill which is worth it for the view. On the other side of Como there's a nice little place called Mamma Ciccia in Mandello del Lario (they've got a great restaurant too). They've got a room with a balcony looking onto Como with a garage underneath. The Moto Guzzi museum is in the same town but it's closed in August. I've said in a couple places on Garda, Hotel Alpino open parking and Hotel Cristal which has underground parking. And they're basically on the waterfront. Views and swimming are great as expected lol Then there's the Dolomites too, you can stay pretty much anywhere and not go too far wrong! It's worth going into Switzerland too because the roads are amazing there! Basically do all the passes. Gotthard, Susten, Nuffenen, Oberalp, Grimsel etc. Then the Timmelsjoch on the Austrian/Italian border. Stelvio is alright but I preferred Gavia way more. If you've got time go to Slovenia and do the Mangart pass it's amazing...you pay €5 to get in then stay by Lake Bled. +Finnoctane I get drawn in by videos like this; I makes it all ok. But like you say, condensing hours and hours of riding into a three and a half minute video doesn't do the arse-pounding justice.
