I'll never forget this game, the story that was told, the characters.. ugh it was so good! I'd love for a sequel to happen, or maybe another comic? It's sad that the third installment got cancelled..
I hate to admit it but the ending to this actually made me cry...because if you really think about it Kalus didn't have to do what she did. Kameo had all of her Elemental Warriors and would have been strong enough to defeat Thorn. But Kalus knew the damage she did. She had to take a second to see what's around her and all the things caused by her. She basically sacrificed herself when she could have been well and alive with her family...she just couldn't deal with the guilt because of all she's done. You're welcome

I felt bad for Kallis, but I also felt mad that the Mystic was the mastermind behind this. I actually liked her for being Kameo's mentor, especially since she was the stern kind.
When I first beat this game which was quite awhile back, the ending was so sad. I felt pretty sad for Kameo's sister and I've been still wondering what the heck happened to the Mystic? They really should make a sequel to this although they say they cancelled it which sucks!
@SRPC21 Ahh I remembered "Legend Unfolds" is the name of the song with no drums "Battle over the Bridge" is Legend Unfolds with drums. This is because the drums version is first played in the first level after youkill the roller trolls and are crossing the bridge :p
I'm gonna put this here for fans new and old, with the context of the Lost Lore: *(warning, LONG read)* Kalus was neglected (and it's hinted at that she was abused too) before being manipulated by the Mystic, but there's something a lot of you do not know. This is something that was not mentioned in the game, but is in fact canon and it comes from the journals. I'm going to give those reading this the *short* version, since there is a *lot* and it gets *dark.* Kalus' coronation, after spending 16 years training and preparing to be queen, it makes it seem really strange that it's all suddenly given to Kameo, right? Inexperienced Kameo, with no training and not being a daughter of either Theena or Solon. You want to know why this is? *Kameo sabotaged Kalus* This is actually canon. 2 days before Kalus' coronation, guess what Kameo does? She goes into Theena's bedroom where the Element of Power is kept and touches it, despite knowing that she shouldn't even be there. Kalus comes in, yells at Kameo to demand to know what she's doing and tries to shove Kameo away from it. Kameo dodges so Kalus collides into the stand, sending it crashing to the floor and the Element of Power skidding across it. The two are stunned, Theena races in and instead of asking questions, you want to know what she does? She immediately grabs Kalus' arm with a look that makes Kameo *genuinely scared that Theena is going to hit her* before verbally abusing Kalus, screaming that she's irresponsible, does not trust her, while basically leaving Kameo out of it. When Kalus tries to explain, Theena does not let her. She never gives Kalus a chance and abuses her, while letting Kameo off the hook. Theena yells at both to leave, they walk out in shock. Kalus gives Kameo a well-deserved dirty look before bursting into tears and taking off. This is the only time Kameo feels *bad* for this. Only after Kalus has been hurt, does she actually regret her actions. This isn't a one time incident either. Theena for 3 weeks up to this point was *supposed* to be training Kalus with the Element of Power, teaching her what to expect. This is her duty as both a Queen and a mother. Theena does the exact opposite, avoiding Kalus while making time for Kameo. When Kalus asks Theena for help, she tells Kalus she is too busy but at the same time, stops and talks to Kameo. Theena makes an effort for Kameo, while neglecting Kalus. Not to mention, this isn't just 'stress of the coronation coming up' either. Theena has treated Kalus like this since she was *3 years old.* For 16 years, Theena has actively avoided and neglected Kalus, while showering Kameo with affection, sometimes in front of Kalus too. Theena read Kameo a bedtime story everyone, often hugs and kisses her, but has not hugged Kalus once in those 16 years. So, why would Theena do this to her own daughter? Because she looks like Solon. That's it. The sole reason Theena has isolated and neglected Kalus was due to her resemblance to Solon, as well as Theena refusing to seek help to overcome it. "What about her family?" You ask? They're just as bad. The day after that incident, Lenya brings Kameo some food while it's implied Kalus wasn't brought any food and spent the entire night crying. Kameo can hear it, feels bad and tells the truth to Lenya. Lenya tells Kameo not to worry about telling Theena until *after* the coronation. Before this, the ancestors spend the day trying to calm down Theena, who is in a blind rage *(the kingdom is terrified of her rage, in multiple versions of the game)* and then you'd think as a *Queen* and a *Mother* she'd at least want to hear both of them out, separately, to hear what happened, right? Nope. Theena chooses to do the worst thing, in the worst way possible. On the very day of Kalus' coronation *(also Kalus' 18th birthday too)* Theena sends a note to both Kameo and Kalus. Kameo's note tells her to come at a specific time. Kalus' note tells her to come *after* that specific time, however Kalus leaves early, hopeful to learn about the EOP and hear stories of her father too. Theena sees Kameo and says she's giving everything to her. Now, several ties Kameo has pointed out how hard Kalus has worked and the stress she's under. She also knows Kalus has worked her whole life for this. After hearing that and this cruel decision, you would think: 'This is wrong/unfair/this isn't right' or something similar, right? Kameo thinks: 'This doesn't make me happy.' Let's think about this. It's nothing to do with right or wrong, it's to do with whether Kameo is happy or not. Remember, she disregarded how important the EOP was to Kalus and Theena, because she wanted to touch it, despite knowing she *absolutely should not* and does so anyway. Now, Kameo is an absolute rebel, when she wants to, she can stand up or do what she wants. Theena ignores Kameo's attempts at telling the truth and tells her to kneel. She doesn't force her, she only tells her. Kameo kneels and just takes it. No fight, or anything. This is right when Kalus walks in and we see the starting cutscene from the game. There is *so* much more to this, this is just the short version, but what I'm trying to say is this: Kalus was *never* given a chance. Not by her own family, kingdom or anyone. She worked herself to the point of not allowing herself to experience fun. She doesn't listen to music, read fantasy, she's *constantly* working and has been for 16 years. "But Kalus freed Thorn! That proves she wasn't fit to be queen!" Kalus actively sabotaged Thorn frequently to reduce casualties, not to mention, everyone was being exploited by the Dark Star *(essentially it's like Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club ramped up)* and notice that as soon as she's literally knocked to her senses, her immediate response is to go *fix* the mess? She doesn't try to justify or excuse it, she rises to the occasion, knowing it would cost her everything but still does it. But this is the absolute worst part. The part that made me strongly dislike Kameo herself *(as I downright hate Theena now)* is that after Kalus' sacrifice, guess what Kameo does? *She takes credit for 'killing' Thorn.* We saw in that telepathic message Kalus shared with Kameo that she outright tells her that Mystic is a traitor and manipulated everyone *(hell, Mystic is the one who manipulated Kalus to free Thorn. She wouldn't have done it on her own)*yet when we talk to Theena in the throne room... Theena has no idea. She's looking for the Mystic like you would an old friend, but she wouldn't have done that if *Kameo told her about Mystic's betrayal.* Remember that goblin you talk to, who says 'I can't believe Kalus is actually gone'? It almost sounds like he's talking about her *like she died.* The other messed up thing, when Kameo is falling, when she lands near Theena. Notice there's no searching with a worried expression for Kalus? No asking questions? In fact, Theena is straight up *smiling* while looking at the wreckage. She's not looking for Kalus, because she thinks Kalus is already dead. Not only that, but they have a statue of Thorn, their worst enemy, but there's nothing for Kalus. No memorial, no mention, nothing. While I really liked this game before knowing the Lost Lore *(and there is a LOT)* after hearing about this, the story is insanely dark, twisted and cruel. In no way do I condone what Kalus did, dark influences or not, but after learning what she went through, having the one single thing she worked for just taken and given away, it's extremely messed up. Not to mention, Kalus' sole dream and purpose was to be a Queen that made her father proud. Theena *knows* this and she *knows* how hard Kalus has worked her whole life for this... yet her own limitations cost them everything. This game and story could have been about breaking the abuse cycle, overcoming incredibly complicated trials within yourself to do better, to start your own path. In that sense...I think Rare really missed an opportunity here and it's why this game needs a reboot. It needs to use it's flaws to tell it's story. The real story. *(also redesign Kameo. I hate her canon design. You can't make that outfit for a 16 year old minor)* If you want to read the lore yourself, I highly recommend the Kameo discord server, it has every source of canon lore, as well as fan projects. I highly recommend reading the journals, interviews and canon content yourself. It has a lot of dark implications on the story and characters.

The reason why the elves have a statute of Thorn is because it's supposed to be a reminder that his kind is not to be trusted though I feel like it was not necessary to build it.
@jonabun you know it was like the first game on the 360...any way i really liked it, few games have battles anywere near the awsomenes like the one when you attack the troll castel, and the music in the game is awsome

Well that’s ruins the manga and podcasts in both Solon died with baby kameo in his Hands and then elemental sprites ( I think) take baby kameo to the enchanted kingdom I swere to holy god in heaven I am not making this up
@@bezares9556 Well, his backstory goes as such: In the XBOX version, Farron was called Cailem and is Kameo's twin brother, who was abducted by trolls as a baby. Said trolls raised him as their own, telling him he was deformed, so he had to wear the armor to cover up his 'deformities.' Cailem was an elite soldier of Thorn's Army, and this is why Theena in an old cutscene, is seen swiping at Meepo in a blind rage. Halis can barely hold her back and even after Theena sees Meepo hide behind Lenya, Theena still sends the curse after him, not thinking about her sister's safety. I don't know what happens with Cailem's character by the end though, as it wasn't really covered anywhere P:

Yes, you can keep playing, and you can go everywhere, if you want to replay a scene, you can go to the "mirror" or the menu.
