He was just in a 5 min scuffle for a gun, with people screaming at him, and then the police all start screaming at once. It’s hard to blame the police here however some context clues such as the person with the gun walking away with the gun pointed down could have indicated other things. @@misterb1132 yep, and we know why they’re so quick to do it with so little tolerance…vs. if he were (fill in the blank) he could’ve damn near pointed it at them for 5 seconds before they would start firing. But I’ve been soul-searching as to why that is. And so it seems, when you are subconsciously by default associated with a culture/ethnic group that has many members who typically pride themselves on violence (and go unchecked by the majority of its other members) of violence, etc., unfortunately everyone who looks similar to that symbolization suffers unfairly too. Things have got to change on all sides!🙏🏾
The guy in the white sleeves started this fight when it could have been talked out. You see blue shorts guy obtain the weapon and do just that. I'm glad this guy survived. He made peace while white sleeves created chaos.
Honestly it's unfortunate he was at the wrong place at the right time because even though he got shot he potentially saved 2 lives. His adrenaline is pumping he's trying to catch his breath you got the bad guys screaming and pushing him towards the door then you have the police with guns drawn coming from the other side giving commands. It's almost like he was blindsided I'm sure with all of the commotion he didn't hear it. There was so much going on at the time Thankfully he lived to tell his side of the story.
@outdoorfr3ak if they don't have ammo they can't shoot you, if you immediately separate the pieces far from each other it's rather hard to reassemble the gun if they even know how, and most people only carry one clip. Also the gun owner was not on him the whole time so he had plenty of time to separate and hide pieces of it.
@outdoorfr3ak I didn't mean take every round out, but regardless of that he easily had enough time to empty the clip while he was looking at the gun and talking to the white sleeve guy. I think it'd be fine to take the clip out and pocket it while clearing the chamber as well, then if you have time disassemble the gun and separate the parts to buy time if he somehow overpowers you and gets them. if you still have time after disassembly then go ahead and clear the clip. Any combination of these along with not holding the gun would've made the situation 100 times better.
The cops shouting out "drop the gun" over the top of each other turned their commands into a sonic blur where distinct words are impossible to hear. That's going to work against the PD as well as giving no time to react to commands. One loud cop giving commands always works out better. And not shooting right after the words leave your lips.
That fuckin blows, he gets sucker punched, wins the fight, gets a gun pulled on him, wins the battle for it, outnumbered 3 to 2, makes his way away from them after never having used their own gun against them, and gets plugged for it. Damn bro.

In my opinion this is why it's important to learn how to use as many guns as possible If you end up in a situation like this take that gun apart in as many pieces as possible. Drop the mag, empty it, whatever you can do to take the gun out of the picture. Simply take the mag out and put it in your pocket even. If you aren't using it, put it away or get it out of the fight.

They didn't panic. They only reacted and within reason. You can't project your knowledge of the situation after watching a video onto the cops and think they should track with YOUR understanding. They have their own perspective. They didn't watch the video.
No panic. If you have a possible active shooter call anyone with a gun has a very high likelihood of getting shot. Training is to eliminate the threat as soon as possible with no delay.

Why would someone go to a restaurant that needed a security guard?
So the person defending themselves and trying to keep the gun out of the attackers hands gets shot. I do believe him when he said he didn’t hear the police. He was just in a 5 min scuffle for a gun, with people screaming at him, and then the police all start screaming at once. It’s hard to blame the police here however some context clues such as the person with the gun walking away with the gun pointed down could have indicated other things. Sure the best thing would have been to toss the gun in the trash can and immediately run from the scene to avoid getting injured, but it’s a tricky situation.
cops are just scared of their shadows these days. Could you imagine while I was in Iraq if i acted like them? There needs to be a "are you a pussy" test to be a cop

@outdoorfr3ak or disable the gun so no one has to die because of some words?
They gave him less than 2 seconds to react lmao that’s a check for him I’m glad he made it through
The cops shouting out "drop the gun" over the top of each other turned their commands into a sonic blur where distinct words are impossible to hear. That's going to work against the PD as well as giving no time to react to commands. One loud cop giving commands always works out better. And not shooting right after the words leave your lips.
