But I've decided to look it up today on Sasha, and I was shocked to see her gender/sex is male, despite that "Sasha", on my end, is a girl's name......Now on sum's end, I would like to see him have Sasha be female while Raymond is male and Rosie is female.....But apparently the game in the english version of it doesn't see it that way...........whelp, that's definitely going to be thought about in the back of my mind from here on out. Despite what I said, Sum, I absolutely love these types of slice of life moments, whether it's in pokemon, animal crossing, or other properties I have not heard of but others do. Which is awesome, but I do prefer the artwork you post on Pixiv or any rule34 artwork sites on there.
Perhaps, start with looking up "Sasha" as a name, it's vastly more neuter even though I would share your perception of it being feminine from familiarity. Though, people might be familiar with someone male with that name under a different spelling: "Sacha Baron Cohen." I'm not certain how AC villagers get names, may have more freedom of naming than other things with how different they are between languages unlike other games. Perhaps something fitting of their persona? I don't know. It can be interesting which languages are the same. Also... their name in both Spanish languages is "Ariel" which you'll likely think the same of, but is also neuter and originally masculine. (Which might give you pause to consider how gender is very distinct from sex and it's reference linguistically/otherwise. The concept, just linguistically is very complex and changes between languages, including between languages of the same origin, how their speech sounds and cultures in relation.) _(Not to imply that any fan or however depictions would be wrong... in-case someone gets that false impression, as I'd also always defend perspective reference over compelled speech and imposed perspective.)_
