A 900 number? Freddy would’t have to kill me because my parents would’ve done it for him. Those were expensive! On the nice side of things, there were lots of commercials for free bags and PSAs for staying safe. You don’t see those so much anymore. I’m glad people still cared into the 80s.
The 1980 Toys "R" Us commercial with the Big Bird and Yoda plastic mask and costume just hit me right in the nostalgia solar plexus... it was just so simple, cheezy goodness, down right wholesome even, and reflected the feeling you had when Mom or Dad took you to the store and bought you one of these. The 80's Halloween and Fall Festival time was the best!
September but I would've even if it was mid summer 😁😄8f 8d spotted this sooner 😃👍‼️ LoVE 🙂👌 HALLOWEENi and the entire time frame from now thru NY 🎯.. I was still trick or treating rt thru my 40s 🤣🤣🤣THATS HOW MUCH I LOVE IT I'm just under 5 feet so ez to get away w in costume , I just go w my relatives kids or friends kids as my son is a dad now but not nearby 🙂! It seems like there was way more free stuff and giveaways in the 80s and 90s. I was a kid in the 80s and 90s. It was such a different time. I miss it. Love to all those feeling nostalgic like me! Happy almost Halloween 🎃

Here!! Found it: 1982 TELEVISION EVENT REVENGE OF THE CREATURE IN 3-D During the summer of 1982, the first 3-D broadcast was syndicated across the country making television history. The movie was The Revenge of the Creature, the sequel to Creature from the Black Lagoon. This monumental event was sponsored by local convenience stores and fast food restaurants. Buy a big gulp or a medium pizza and get a pair of 3-D glasses. Then watch the excitement in your own home on your television set!
Thank you so much for sharing these great memories. I'm also an 80s kid. Halloween is my favorite time of year. Please share more of these awesome memories
I remember sitting on the sales floor of Buttons in Oklahoma City right off N may Ave watching Popeye and Ghostbusters . when I was kid. They also sold records. But mostly I'd go because I collected movie posters they would leave in there dumpsters out back. Ha ha I miss the 80's
Ooh remember when whatchamacallits were really big like that! They were so good! I miss Hershey big block and crackle big block chocolate. Today you go to the store and sometimes it's stale🤮
They've been broken since the 8Os from what I remember everytime I attempted to get it, just about , 😃‼️ I'll say this tho... On the couple rare occasions that the Ice Cream machine WASN'T outta commission. I was VERY pleasantly surprised!! It was Excellent! Maybe that's why I kept going back on the off chance it was working !!? ❔PS I went to 2 ,3 different McDonald's a couple times 🌠🌃🌛 ATTEMPTING to find one w a working IcE cream machine😒🙂👌😄✨🌙
you know what helps when you join multiple video clips together, when every clip came from a different source and so each have a different dB level? It's a trick known as Normalization. When you do this, the audio track of each video clip will have the same peak level, resulting in a video with sound that doesn't keep going from real quiet to super loud. Its not hard to do, and in fact its very easy to do.
We just didn't put the cult around calling the clown a creepy serial killer or give the clown any power to intimidate or creep us out, we simply said..Halloween is over, lol
The original Halloween creeped me out for a long time because I was very young when my babysitter forced us to watch it, I was in 1978 like 6 years old! Not cool 😮but very unsettling especially since I was a little kid 😮
Wow I remember these. No internet just sitting around the television with your family. Enjoying the same movies and shows.
This ! Yess 🥰

I love October and Halloween the most.
So do I 🎃🎃🎃
I like Christmas time also when we have snow anyways but now it's like 70 and sunny Christmas day here in Buffalo New York
70's and 80's were the best decades for film and music. Glad I lived it.
Best decade and best holiday ever!!!!!!!
it's not a holiday, people just celebrate it like it is
Me in the 80s watching TV: "I hate these effing commercials"
Me in 2023 watching 80s commercials: "I love these effing commercials"
I'm 55 and I'm so glad I live the glorious Days of the 80s this was a major flash back down memory lane
Those Reese's cups were twice as big as they are now.
I just love Halloween commercials.
a muffler for less than $20? man, those were the days
People are probably making 2.50 an hour😂

@Nileking300 yet 4.25 hourly in 87-88 anyway. Yet it was just easier to live in general. This reality we've entered into is less than apoealing.
Takes me back to the good ol days.
Your halloween commercials always put me in the mood for halloween. Thank you so much for bringing back the memories.
Yes the good time memorys..! Only thing is I feel old now 😂 and Iam only 39. In 2023

What a blast from the past! Blockbuster ads! Oh my...it was a different world.

Pretty cool! I was a teen in the 80s. Fun fun fun fun times.
I was lucky so lucky to be a kid in the 80s it was the best time of my life. The world was so much better with all this technology
They were. They just weren't discussed much as such.
@@randycunningham7318Well you’re just all over this comment section, Randy!
Hi love watching these old ads not only are they fun to watch but make me feel good ,this was my era ,thanks for sharing ,
OH yeah, I remember the hype in the early 80's about a show being on television in 3D - it didn't work LOL

Ive been watching these commercials since may. I cant get enough of them
The totally awesome 80's were called the totally awesome 80's because they were totally awesome.
Oh wow. I miss Vincent Price. What a character.
Things are definitely getting worse over the years, not better. Families always did everything together. Not anymore. Happy Halloween 🎃
You can make choices
My childhood, great fond memories especially Halloween as a kid. Thanks for the upload
1:07 Count Scarry was the best. I miss that guy. If you don't remember, Igor was his pet bat.
Id love to go back to these times. Best time of my life!
Not an 80s kid, but always have loved Hal'ween. I remember just about all of these anyway. How I miss Vincent Price!🎃🧛👻( Elvira- my, my, my...)
I wanna go back to then
Oh my gosh, 80's Halloween ads! I love these! I wish I saw them.
Such a great (safe ) time to grow up here in Buffalo New York anyways

The Good Old days
Today is September 9 2023, Halloween 2023 coming baby, Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember all of these! Omg! They promoted safety for Halloween back then. We don't see any commercials like that now.
Zingers .. no wonder I rode my bike for miles upon miles on processed carbs and sugar 😁
Those Freddy commercials and Halloween 5 VHS commercial is pure nostalgia for me.
I wish I had a Time Machine to travel back to the 80’s
Would it be a DeLorean?

Count Scary was awesome, a local Detroiter. I miss those more carefree days. 😢
Damn! That ghost castle ad! Loved playing it, great upload, Greetings from 🇮🇪 Ireland 🎃 🕸️🕷️
Ahhh back when you had to plan your bathroom breaks around commercial breaks, no pausing the DVR
Ooh remember when whatchamacallits were really big like that! They were so good! I miss Hershey big block and crackle big block chocolate. Today you go to the store and sometimes it's stale🤮
LOL those chocolates always tasted like stale garbage. As if they were even decent quality.
7:21 - The Halloween Safety Bag will eat your soul.
😅😅yea real funny
8:21 Freddy got my ass kicked and grounded till I was 10
Why was marketing 10 times better in the 80's? The mcdonalds ice cream coupons would be epic if their ice cream machine worked in 2023. #mcdonalds
I know right they haven't cleaned them since 1983 ha ha .

I remember the McDonald’s commercials and I had those pumpkin buckets.
I wasn’t born when these originally aired but I’m glad I get to appreciate them now
I desperately wanted a water bed as a kid, but my dad wouldn't allow it.
I was; and did:~~:
That talk to Freddy commercial is crazy! ❤
Oh wow this was really good seeing these nostalgic commercials memories thank you 😊
Omg I love these commercials. Very nostalgic.
Brings me back.
I totally forgot that they would air themed commercials based on the season..
Man I miss these times
Best decade ever
Sadly, some of these I can recall. And 2:28 - somehow that thing feels like the early ancestor of Annoying Orange! 😆
It was the best time to be a kid.
Makes me really miss being a kid
I wish you could still install a muffler for $18.93
Oh wow waterbeds. I actually miss those.
Can't imagine taking my kid trick or treating in a coat and tie... unless my costume was salesman.
I came for a good past-time and thats what i got
Before people started getting offended! The good old days
OOO YAH!! ^
Wow! Love this! 80’s were the best!
Yup the 80’s had some cool 😎 commercials 😮

This is awesome, just subscribed. 🎃
Blockbuster! I herd of that. They used ancient alien technology to play movies before the invention of the DVD.
I remember all of these!👻😸🎃
The Hallmark commercial I think had the guy from Friday the 13th part 2 that doesn't get killed.
Awe I miss the 80’s😢
8:59 thats cool kids and beer were ok being in the same room together.
The 80's sounds like it was an interesting time period lol
Very Thanks!
The memories as a teenager in the 80’s❤❤❤❤❤
Second commercial sounds like Jack Nicholson.
Madison! Milwaukee here 😊
Gotta love the locally produced Halloween II promo with the knockoff Michael Meyers mask. 😄
Was Jack Nicholson doing the voice for the second commercial? Christian Slater would have been too young.😬
Holy hell 18.93 installed I kind of feel sorry for anybody that didn't experience the eighties there will be nothing else ever like it
Damn it's hard to believe that back in the 80's clowns weren't really creepy or scary
We just didn't put the cult around calling the clown a creepy serial killer or give the clown any power to intimidate or creep us out, we simply said..Halloween is over, lol
July 31st, 2024. Let's meet here for Summerween.
Freddy’s voice sounds of Jesse Ventura
That was fun 🎃
Was that Kirstie Alley in that Hallmark commercial?
The woman immediately after her looked real familiar too...
The original Halloween creeped me out for a long time because I was very young when my babysitter forced us to watch it, I was in 1978 like 6 years old! Not cool 😮but very unsettling especially since I was a little kid 😮
A muffler for 18 bucks!?
I miss the McDonald’s pumpkin buckets!
You can buy a lot of 18 dollar mufflers with that 10 grand!
Classic? Vintage?? Who you calling old?
Age isn't just a number, it's number of victories in an undefeated season 😎 I am 53 - 0
Alsome I Remember each one of them.
