fun fact! At C3, Chevruse only needs 44k HP alongside a Healing Bonus Circlet to proc the full buff for the new Song of Days Past artifact. Meanwhile, with a Healing Bonus Circlet, and at C2 or under, you will need 55k HP, making C3 a pretty high value constelation if you want to run her with the new Song of Days Past set.
edit: Some people are confused by my reasoning behind pushing past her normal 40K HP cap so I'll paste my explaination here:
[TLDR. to get the FULL BONUS of the "SONG OF DAYS PAST" ARTIFACT SET, you will need Chevreuse to heal for 5,000 HP every 2 seconds, as the new artifact set ability needs the healer to output 15,000 HP in heals/overheals, and if you're wondering what the bonus is it's 1,200 bonus damage which is added to the overall base damage of your attack. So the 44k HP isn't for her innate buffs but for the new artifact set buff instead.]
The new artifact set has a 4-piece effect that needs the healer to amass 15,000 HP healed, overheal included. The reason this is important is that at 40,000 HP, Chevreuse can only give a 1,115 attack bonus at C3, and 932 attack bonus at C2 and under. Now while this does look like a minimal loss of damage bonus on paper, it's important to understand how the buff works and how damage is calculated.
This artifact buff works similarly to Bennet's Elemental Bonus buff, or Chevreuse's Ascension Passive buff, but rather than this bonus being added to the character's BASE ATTACK, it's instead added to their BASE DAMAGE, after which the various multipliers such as talent damage multipliers, critical damage multipliers, defense shred and and whatnot will be applied to this base damage. This means that, yes, the difference in BASE DAMAGE BONUS is small, but the disparity between the final damages will be pretty sizeable. Assuming an example character has 1,000 base attack, and the multiplier from their talent is 100%, and they have a 50 dmg% and 100% crit, with no enemy resistance, equal levels and no reaction multiplier, the calculations will be as follows:
C3, 40K HP(4,647 HP):
((1000x100%)+1200)(1+50%)(1+100%)x50% = 3,173 DMG
C3, 44K HP(5,008 HP):
((1000x100%)+1200)(1+50%)(1+100%)x50% = 3300 DMG
So as you can see from the damage calculations, that difference of 85 damage bonus turns it into a damage difference of 127, and this is on an example character that we could argue would be THE WORST CHARACTER IN THE GAME, so trying to get the FULL 1,200 bonus is a no-brainer. This is kind of why I prefaced that 44,000 HP is NEEDED for if, and ONLY IF, you intend to run the full 4-piece set of the new Song of Days Past.
Now as to why I think it's a good set on Chevreuse, it has to do with the nature of her teams when she's in a support role. Since she pairs very well with Bennett, this set bonus will essentially function as a lesser version of Bennet's Elemental Burst, with the downsides being the 6 seconds for the buff activation, and the 10 second or 5 hit limit, of which Chevreuse is able to proc the set bonus twice for 10 total hits, which'll make your main DPS/ Hypercarry damage EVEN HIGHER, alongside some chunky healing (as if we need more healing but it's always nice). And even if Bennett is not being run alongside her, due to the nature of her kit not having any elements that can crit for higher damage numbers, having an additional source of damage buff is a lot more beneficial for her support role.
Hopefully this clarifies my reasoning behind the 44,000 HP recommendation!
I may be confused but doesnt her ascension passive cap out at 40k health equating to 40% hp being her threshold? So rather than getting more hp wouldnt it be more beneficial to prioritize other stats after hitting that threshold?

@@supersole007 for my purposes Chev is run as a pure support so the stats I focused on are HP, Energy Recharge and Crit Rate (for Favonious Lance). Other stats are nice like Crit Damage but for a support Cheveruse those 3 are the main stats. As for why going past 40k would be beneficial, at the full amount of stacks you get an additional 1,200 damage to your attack, which is added in the base attack calculations alongside Chevreuse's innate attack boost. If you're curious the calculations are as follows:
Lv. 13
((((5.67%×44,000)+706)×1.359)×1.15) = 5,002
Lv. 10
((((4.8%×55,000)+565)×1.359)×1.15) = 5,008
However, it's important to point out that like all artifact sets, you'll always want the full benefit of the set itself, and 40k HP, while giving a sizeable 1,115 bonus atk at lv. 13 and 932 bonus atl at lv. 10, is much much lower than 1,200 once all the damage calculations are done (keep in mind the bonus is added to BASE ATTACK, so it will be multiplied by the atk percentage of the talents as well as any DEF shread). At which point it would be more advisable to run 2-piece sets to boost HP through set bonuses so that you'll have more leeway for other stats.
Edit: forgot to point out but the explosive properties of Chevreuse's kit (overcharge ball being an explosion as well as overload in general) means that you can run her under 50% crit rate and still proc Fav Lance's bonus quite reliably as it can hit multiple opponents with her skill and burst. I have her at about 30% Crit Rate and she can reliably support Bennet and Yae Miko as a form of battery.

People saying she’s not great unless c6 is literally lying💀 she has Kazuha entire kit built with VV built into her skill alone a c0. And at c6 she basically becomes a walking TTDS + VV set all built into her kit just by creating overload reactions. She’s one of the better 4 stars we’ve gotten at c0 and she dosent even have a dedicated 5 star to support which is great bc that means she’s not just another niche 4 star that only good for their c6 element specific buff. Which I mean she only puffs pyro and electro but that’s good bc she makes overload actually work. And im just saying we are getting 2 new 5 stars soon and they are electro and pyro🤷🏾♂️

If you have Lyney, building Chevreuse like this at c6 is actually his optimal slot over Xiangling. You put her on emblem, give her the catch, and the team is Lyney Kazuha Chevreuse Bennett. no overload, yes, but because she gives that juicy pyro damage bonus at c6 even wtihout overloads, and her burst does a lot of damage, she's still BIS here on a DPS build.

For me, the best team to bring the biggest number for her would be Chevreuse, Lisa, Benette, Kazuha.......+attack from double pyro and benette burst, resistance shred from kazuha, defense shred from lisa and equip that 3 star book(forgot the name) to lisa and switch to chevreuse. Can you make that happen? Just wanna see the damage

C0 dps Chev works pretty okay.
Lvl 70, talents uuuh E was as high as it went at that point, Jade spear, 4pc crimson (atk/pyro/crit dmg).
I ran her with Raiden (c0), Mona (c0) and Benny (c6).
With domain buffs she hit 80k (scara boss), 60k (emblem domain), with no domain buffs 30k.
Honestly if I had better build for her and leveled her up she's probably make more dmg.
