I discovered this weird glitch. You see, I started a new game because I wanted to experience all the dlc's in order. For example, I played Bardock before I started the namek arc, to make it like a preview. Trunks, I play it during the android arc.
I tried playing the new one as soon as i could, it was when Goku and Gohan were fishing in the very begining. For the fight against King Piccolo, it was teen goku who I was playing as. In case you wanted to know I was playing on the PS5.

@@Indipender I didn't use block all the time I used dodge. Don't need to insult me. Sometimes you got to block. Like if they use a stun and you can't get out of the attack animation but that's the only time I used block

You’re asking for a lot. Just let the cooks cook for 2 year’s minimum and maybe you’ll get that. Sonic Frontiers was a better game because it was cooked and refined in the kitchen for years. Let BT4 do that and it’ll probably have what you want.

@darickmendes969 I don’t mind DLC, but I’ll still prefer the game be refined for years and tested before it gets released. The game will sell like hotcakes regardless because Dragon Ball fans will eat anything up. But if it is rushed and only tested by two people, no thank you. There is a difference between a good game and a good Dragon Ball game. Spider-Verse is not only a great superhero movie, but a spectacular movie as well. Dragon Ball can use something like that for games, so just let the devs cook with the gameplay.
Can I just say that Red and Black Gi Goku's wearing is my favorite outfit for him in the entire series.

Hats off to the dev team because this game is so fucking beautiful and a homage to OG Dragon Ball. Goes to show if Dragon Ball was digital remastered to 1080p or 4k it would definitely cook. I just wished Stephanie Nadonly was recasted as Kid Goku for the nostalgia factor but barring the gameplay this game is fucking amazing 👏👏👏👏
I LOVE this game, adore it with my heart. It's love letter to all Dragon Ball fans but saying this game is beautifull while all settings looks like from PS2 game is a bit much pal. It imitates style worse then DBZ Fighters and overall is pretty meh graphic design wise...

This Dlc is pretty good in someway. it is pretty cool that this dlc shows you what happened way far back when there was a tournament back then...
They should make a game like DBZ Kakarot with the full OG Story. I think it would be to big for the last DLC.
Is it bad that I just realized after watching this video the irony that Goku, born of a race of aliens that are known throughout the universe as barbarians with an unquenchable lust for battle, saved the planet from both King Piccolo and Piccolo Jr., who are born from a race of aliens who are peaceful and are essentially saints who’d be willing to help anyone in need by using their dragon balls to grant their wishes?
Just to clarify on this. Akira Toriyama created the concept of Saiyans and Namekians during the Saiyan saga. He did not plan very far ahead at all and has said he makes the story up as he goes really. Piccolo truly was a demon when he first appeared in the manga, hence why his demon spawn all look weird and nothing like actual namekian offspring. This would later be retconned that it was his corruption that made them that way. (Thats never mentioned in the story ever.) Kami truly was THE god. Goku was Sun Wukong practically and they gave him a werewolf gimmick. You have to always take Dragon Ball as it is during its time. For instance, Zenkai, that thing where Saiyans get stronger just for getting beaten up. Never shows up prior to Vegeta mentioning it because it was a BS way to just power up Vegeta. Goku in OG Dragon Ball NEVER just gets magically stronger after getting beaten up, he always takes an actionable route to getting stronger. Climbing Korin's tower made him stronger after nearly dying to Taopaipai, if he had Zenkai then he would have just felt stronger after already being beaten but he only felt stronger after his training with Korin.
Tldr: Goku was not a Saiyan during this point in the story because Toriyama did not create the concept yet, and Piccolo truly was a demon because once again Toriyama was not going the whole intergalactic story route yet. Theres a reason all of that stuff just abruptly enters the story when Radditz shows up... hmm oh Piccolo is a Namekian! Wtf? So Kami never thought to mention previously he came here on a space ship? Piccolo who has the same memories really believes hes a demon!?

EVERY fight in the world tourament should be playable
you should be able to ring out the enemy when they have red bar hp
make all the characters playable after the story mode
This dlc should have started with Goku as a kid, from the Pilaf saga right up until the Piccolo Junior Saga, He also sounds too much like Luffy they should have brought Stephanie Nadolny back
So I can use kid Goku after I end the story?

@heroic9631 I think it actually might be GT myself. The DragonBall games seem to be doing the multiversal thing ever since Xenoverse. So we'll probably get GT but with Xeno Goku and Vegeta and have their stories because all we care about with GT is ssj4 anyway 😂

This was a very short DLC and there weren’t many side quests. They also made the enemies harder with there level.

The best part about this is they seem to have updated the small details, the kamehameha looks so much better and the speed up with the nimbus is beautiful to watch
That was pretty cool, but I can't help but want to fight against Yamcha as Hero, against Chichi as Goku, against Chaotsu as Tao, against Krillin as Piccolo, and against Hero as Piccolo. Those are some neat matches.

Pros of this dlc:
- inclusion of ground battles
- tien got some recognition
- the music is fire in literally every part of this
- the models look very nice
- kid Goku fight
- actual good replay at higher level boss fights post game
Cons:
- no tien open world (this one is pretty annoying)
- I think there should have been atleast one more place in the world map (Kame house area I’d say)
- no effect in the main game (e.g boost nimbus, first strike kamehameha, tien playable character in main game)
- kinda short
Other than that this dlc is good and I’d say is pretty worth it.

Am I allowed to call this a bit of a disappointment for only having 3 fights instead of having all or at the very least most of the fights in this tournament not playable?
Likely because Yamcha and Krillin don't win their fights, and those are mostly inconsequential.
Goku doesn't actually fight Chi-Chi, so they kept it accurate to the source material.
Tien is the only other playable one since he not only wins his fight, but finishes his character arc here as well.
They were not going to let us play as Piccolo, since he's the antagonist and there would be little point.
@@silversoul2770 in the case for Krillin and Yamcha, I feel they could have done something with it, after all a handful of the fights in the base game and in some of the dlc canonically end with characters losing, but you still get to fight them like Future Gohan Vs the Androids, or Vegeta vs. Final Form Freeza. I don’t think all the fights had to be playable, but only three fights is a bit of a let down to me.
(Also, you could also have Kami be playable against Piccolo for kicks. Haha)

@leik7728 If you think you think about it from a gamers perspective, nobody wants to beat an enemy / boss, only to loss to them in a cutscene. The video game industry has been doing this for years and it has been infuriating. It would be even more infuriating if you shouldn’t be able to take damage from your story wise, but in gameplay they can defeat you no problem. Have you ever played a Superman game? It’s obnoxious to think that bullets can defeat Superman. In Superman Returns, they had to make it so the city had a health bar and if it dropped to Zero it was game over.
There would be no alternative in some of these tournament fights. So cut out them out.

Im really excited to see this Roster. Tenkaichi games always made things interesting with what types of fighters we can play as or fight against. I see ppl on their YT channels saying no giants for this game. But idk about that Bergamo can transform himself bigger and i highly doubt you would put him in the game if he can't use such a transformation. I loved challenging myself in old Tenkaichi games vs nothing but biggest characters in team battles. So im hoping those team battles return. Keep what made Tenkaichi unique compared to Xenoverse.

If they make two extensions where we play the adventures of Goku as a child, during the red ribbon arc and the other the Demon Piccolo arc, it would be spectacular, these are two arcs that made Dragon Ball the reference that we know today.
I find it funny this shows Pre-Chi Chi snapping and becoming the greatest Rage Induced Karen Wife. It’s nice to see her in those good moments.😂

@MrVariant yeah I'll wait until its way cheaper to get season pass 2, I remeber years ago season pass used to be just £5 to £15 with tons of content then turned £20 to £30 and now they trying to keep those £30+ prices for small amounts of content and make multiple £30 season passes that have less content than those old cheap gamepasses back in the day, people are too stupid and pay for anything these days so they get less
