This is sad...this whole situation with people blaming her mother's past actions as the reason for her divorce is not right. You have to step back and take a look, that what her parents did, wasn't as straightforwards either. Dharmendra was only 19 years old when he was married off to his first wife, which means that she herself would have been a very young girl, 16 or 17...who knows. Effectively you have two kids who have not seen or experienced life. Just because that's how things were done back then does not make it right. You all have to understand a wedding ceremony does not equal a marriage. A wedding ceremony is just a formality or an official declaration involving family and friends, but a marriage has to take place in the heart otherwise a wedding ceremony has no meaning. Unfortunately dharmendra's first wife never had his heart. He is a decent human being was a good father, and he was good to his wife, but she was not his choice. Once he started his career, saw life, grew and matured, he realized what he wanted, and even though many might not consider it right but hema should have been his first wife, and only wife. His first marriage should never have happened, and it wasn't right for him. Emotions and to feel love for someone is not something anyone can control, and that is something that comes from God, if dharmendra fell in love with hema then that was meant to be. The problem that occurred was that dharmendra was subjected to society's norms and ideals, back in those days no choice was given, and people were expected to block out what their hearts desired and mindlessly do whatever society or culture dictates. That's when things go wrong. In Esha's case, I personally don't think she should have gotten married either. I believe she was selected to play for the national women's soccer team, but her father wasn't very supportive, and her mother also expected her to get married settle down. Esha always came off as being a bit modern and nothing wrong with that, and I think she should have been left alone to lead her life as she saw fit, but unfortunately she didn't get too much support I think in the way of her career as well and it didn't take off much....I don't think it's karma, I think it's a tragedy when people are made to follow customs and culture against the wishes of what they want, and it doesn't turn out right. I hope she focuses more on herself from here on, because she is also an individual and not just a wife and mother.
