    This is the most Romantic scene in this entire show, second Romantic scene is when Clark proposed to Lois on the Fire Escape. So BEAUTIFUL

      @@dragonfang95 Now we have the ability to watch different episodes together - on DVD - as well as these clips - you see how they almost changed genres. Granted there was always an element of sci-fi and fantasy because of Superman - I saw the show described as "workplace romantic comedy" - and the first two seasons you had every romantic comedy trope - they start out not getting along, it's a love triangle - but she doesn't know they're the same man, one confesses feelings, then takes it back just as the other begins to realize feelings, they deny and angst over feelings, they give dating a try and there's also sorts of awkwardness, other love interests - they both even kind of say how silly they're being - and then, in season three, there's all this stuff about how they're soul mates with a magical connection and a supernatural destiny. Some of the lines in Soul Mates seem like sly hints that the creators of the show always intended them to end up together - but some parts of seasons 1 and 2 would make me wonder if that really was intended all along.

      I used to subscribe to a teen version of Consumer Reports and I remember their teen reviewers reviewed the show, and one of the girls loved Lois for being an "aggressive, brave, intelligent...woman of the 90s" - I would love to see her that way, too, but now having the ability to see so many episodes together I'm struck by how many different people - especially powerful men - are able to trick or manipulate her or control her mind in some way (sometimes almost literally) and how her world really comes to revolve around Clark.

      I think all the references in this episode to "everyone's been waiting and praying for this" and perhaps, even the references to destiny in Soul Mates, and Clark's saying "the moment we were destined for" right before they, well, kick off the honeymoon for real - he's practically on top of her as speaks that line - are nods to the "fourth wall" and the fans' long wait, so to speak. Because while there have definitely been some supporting characters rooting for them, those lines make it sound like a whole, well, audience.

      Noticed it too. That should have been their wedding. Wrong choices in life are never too late to make right. True love doesn't have an expiration date.

    Almost a year after David Doyle,former star of the original Charlie's Angels TV-Series made a special guest appearance on season 4,episode 3 of Lois and Clark:The New Adventures of Superman,he passed away. It's ironic that the last role for David Doyle to portray was an angel,who officiates the wedding of Lois Lane & Clark Kent.

    The Angel was a perfect way to marry a couple like this. Why be so down? After all God was present with His children. The Angel of the Lord is a way to describe God's presence. Michael was the Archangel, too. Why do all people have a problem with how much God loves them? If He didn't we wouldn't be here. Personally, I want to be in glory when that time comes. This life isn't all there is. So much more awaits us. Enjoy the show for what it is. After all, if we all did what God wanted us to, there wouldn't be the issues in the world we have today. I would like to issue a challenge to all who are seeing this to do 1 good deed every day for 30 days. See how much better the world is around you and how much happier you are. Great for lowering your blood pressure too! Have a blessed and safe evening everyone- you are all loved!

    Now, as a grown up I can't stop thinking there must be something wrong with you if the only people attending your wedding besides your parents are your boss and your co-worker. ;-) But apart from that, it's so sweet. There's that "aaawwww" moment every time I watch it.

      these are the most important people in their lives. that is why this angel brought them there.

    • @jessicalillianweinberg4401
      @jessicalillianweinberg4401 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@garethspotfur1 I think neither of them having much of a social life except each other is sad - but I think it's supposed to be part of the point of this Lois characterization. Someone has to be an "outsider" (though it's in a different sense than the way Clark is an outsider) to be a real "soul mate" for Clark / Superman. And while Jimmy is a fiercely loyal friend to both, it's true that he is a coworker, and part of their professional lives, and the "share" him as a friend so it's part of their relationship in a way.) At the same time, there are certainly differences in Lois and Clark's personalities, and how they handle things.
      But there ARE real people who have only a few people witness their marriage vows because the alternatives seems too stressful. I do wish they had brought back Lucy, Lois' sister, for the wedding. She appears in a Season 2 episode but never again, although she's mentioned a few times - and it does seem to be the only hint of a positive sisterly/girlfriendy relationship with another woman, in Lois' life. And a lot of fanfic pairs Lucy off with Jimmy. But it's like they kind of forget about her, here.

      @@garethspotfur1 What I didn't think about before was, the nature of the setting and the fact that Clark flies Lois there - isn't that revealing too much to Perry, Jimmy, and Lois' parents?

    that preacher Mike was a angel the actor who played him passed away not long after this it was very sad and disappointing how they did the wedding of course they had to ruin it by bringing in a angel then ruin the honeymoon with tempus and HG wells the season 3 cliffhanger was so good it jumped in the rating with incredible bad guy realistic emotional scenes were top notch they should of gotten that writer to write the script for the wedding I always thought so the script they accepted was horrible except the ending scenes

    I feel bad that Perry White of the Church of Elvis didn't get to be the priest. The organization would probably get publicity and new members after the marriage became public.
    Ironic how superman still needs approval from some kind of "county clerk" Viviene Hepresentor (?) to be with his woman. They're above the law, and cannot be held within the borders of a county or even america. The relationship of these "best friends" and "soulmates" is epic, bigger than anything. It seemed more fitting that they could go to Krypton or do some unique, personal ceremony. But they feel the need to be constricted within the "normal" society. It seemed that nothing really prevented them from finishing the wedding at the first chapel, where Jimmy got to play an organ, once the fat woman was disarmed. Lois was still dressed in the wedding suit, and wasn't treated at a hospital.

      I think that beautiful sunset 🌇 was way more romantic than that big stuffy Church ⛪️ full of all its grandisity and religious symbolism. Their wedding on the hill with natures painted backdrop was breathtaking. And their vows were so beautiful and meaningful. Big and expensive may be impressive, but not as romantic nor as symbolic to me. I prefer this quaint wedding on the hill to that church "clone" one. It's a matter of perception and one's taste to see in a different light. Both were beautiful but with different elements that made it so. I saw the Hill & Sunset, as Lois said they had seemed to have been searching for all of their lives as special. 💖
