I believe the key is to do it in accordance with the direction of the Holy Spirit. Jesus never did anything without His Father's consent. He said, "I only do what I see my Father do." So, every time Jesus performed a miracle, He had already seen the Father do it in the spirit - He was tasked with the manifestation in the natural.
Derek is absolutely right. Men with evil spirits have reached out their hands to shake hands with me and in the moment I did not *think* and on multiple occasions I shook their hand and came home and was *viciously attacked and oppressed* I learned from it!!!
I have ears to hear thank you my lord give me feet to move a spirit after your own heart unbreakable please lord I wanna fight to in your son Christ Jesus Amen
It seems reasonable to me that, this also applies to holding hands with others while praying. Unless the Lord gives us direct word of knowledge, we can mever truly know (if we don’t know) the person on the left or right.
I've laid hands on people tormented with demons. It's no big deal. But if you're praying in faith, demons hate it. But yes, I agree about not laying hands rashly and impulsively.
“To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.” “Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;” “Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.” Many proverbs and other quotes. I always wonder if this means don’t resort to violence? Doesn’t really fit in to think we would suddenly lay hands on someone and then partake in their sins. Probably meant don’t get involved in others drama and violence.
Those are great points. Jesus told us to lay hands on the sick and they will recover. There is no warning to be careful when you lay hands on them because you may get their disease or demon or problem. I have laid hands on many people and they were healed, and later the enemy tried to put that sickness on me. I would always counter it by laughing at the devil and saying, "You can't put that on me. I obeyed Jesus and He told me to lay hands on people and they would recover and He didn't say that I would then get sick." That feeling of the similar sickness departed. I had that happen praying for people with tuberculosis and shortly a burning in my chest started to occur. Thank God I knew the Word and my authority over the serpents and scorpions. We tread on them in Jesus' name while doing His work, they don't tread on us.
I read something that explained that it means to not be to quick to lay hands on a person to make them a deacon. I guess the church or pastor should wait and see how mature the person really is first?
@@Rileyed Paul said sin lives in him, no doubt same as all of us. God is not finished retraining us, or transforming us. I had been thinking about that passage lately, now going to think about it more. Thanks.
@@Rileyed I'll check those out, seems like I've heard of Murray. Yes about repentance, I've heard that's what happens as you grow as a Christian, you are more quick to repent. Daily prayer, first thing in the morning, whatever form it takes.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. When doing His work, we tread on the enemy, not the other way around.
In Derek Prince books, he recommends not to lay hands on them due to spirits transferring to you. IN HIS BOOKS! So which is it? They can be delivered without ever touching them. Judge for yourselves.
It that was true we would all be in trouble. Hug someone and get a demon. Read the scripture slowly and carefully. Sometimes laying hands on someone means hitting. Brawling. To think you will get a demon from touching someone is error.
Yes. Derek even mentioned that in context, that passage was referring to ordination. How often do people ordain novices and they make a mess of things? If you put someone in a position and ordain them, you are responsible to a degree for what they do.
@@seanm2216 I’m just saying in that particular scripture. He says right after don’t get inlvoved in other Mens sins. So maybe it’s good to not ordain novices. But I have been at services where they lay hands on us for mission work and I know none of them. I don’t think Derek got a crying demon from laying hands on a guy. His got fooled on that one. There is nothing wrong with weeping while you pray either.
THE WORD IS ALSO A NAME FOR THE GOD THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF... WHO WALKED WITH GOD TRUE FATHER IN HIM WITH GOD THEY'RE HOLY SPIRIT!!! YOU MUST BE ANNOINTED BY GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF TO CAST OUT DEMONS UNDER GOD ALMIGHTYS DIRECTION, ONLY UNDER BEING ONE OF GOD'S OWN CHILDREN !!!
Well if one has the gift of healing why arent they at hospitals healing hundreds thousands. Know yes healing does happen but not like the apostles but we are given gifts from the holy spirit. Degree is important otherwise we would want to see miracles to have with. Jesus said to thomas blessed those who havnt seen and believe
Jesus doesn't heal everyone.Only 1 at pool of Bethesda was healed by Jesus.Ironicaly he didn't know who Jesus was until later.I pray for people to be healed alot.Ultimately it is God who decides who is and isn't healed and according to His timing.😇
God tells people if he wants them to go someplace and heal some one. Salvation is not desired by everyone, and there are people who are believers but they are not healed yet because they have not yet reached a point where they are ready. One woman in the gospels had a hemorrhage for 18 years befor she came across Jesus and touched him to be healed. After the woman with the hemorrhage touched him, he was drained of his healing power and he had to go away and pray again before he was "recharged". Healing is apparently wasted on some people also. Once Jesus healed ten lepers and only one came back to thank him. There are presumably some who get healed but just go out and start sinning again, or doing nothing.
The reason people aren't at hospitals healing the sick is simply for two reasons.. First, they don't want to go to hospitals and second, hospitals don't want them there praying and healing the sick. Especially in the USA, hospitals are businesses that makes huge amounts of money. They do not want to lose their profits and actually don't want you there if you get results.
Jesus also healed all who came to Him. He rarely if ever sought anyone out. When you read the Gospels, you will see this truth played out and how often He said that it was the person's faith that healed them, not His personal decision to heal them. Those who came to Him, He never refused. The closest was the Syro-Phoenician woman because during His earthly ministry, He was sent only to Israel. But her wise reply got His attention and He obliged her.
@@seanm2216 yes prayer for healing it happens all the time in hospitals but to have a gift of raising the dead Amen but this ended by the apostles Paul then salvation was by faith not works ie all over the place yes through prayer in Jesus name prayer

No one should submit themselves to any man. We submit to God only. Derek was a very good teacher in many respects, but he taught against keeping God's commandments. He twisted some scriptures and fell into the error of lawlessness.
The Bible disagrees with you. We are commanded to submit to: -Governing authorities (Romans 13:1, Titus 3:1) -Parents (Ephesians 61:3) -Husbands (Ephesians 5:22, Colossians 3:18) -Spiritual Leaders (Hebrews 13:17) -Elders (1 Peter 5:5) -One another out of the reverence of Christ (Ephesians 5:21)
When there is a disagreement between what man says and what God says, God wins. But out of love, with God's guidance, we might do as man asks. Even God said he would make a great nation of Esau, out of consideration for Isaac who asked for this. Also, we don't have to be prideful about refusing to submit to man. Derek is a great servant of God, not a man of lawlessness.
Rest in peace Derek Prince

How to heal oneself?
What about if it’s the rebellious young children are those who need deliverance…….

I think he explains this - don't do it rashly. Think this is why we need to be tuned in & filled with the Holy Spirit.
If you aren't full of the HOLY SPIRIT you have no protection. Trying to do this in your own 'soul power'
