I had the same issue when I first saw the movie. It was way too easy for Iron Man to defeat Mickey Rourke's character. Even with all the issues this movie has it's still better than Iron Man 3 lol
This is the only MCU film where I was like attracted to Scarlet Johansson. Her character got better in later films but she was at her finest look wise here.
I used to hate this film but on my MCU marathon I think it’s ok, don’t love it but thought it was a decent entry and entertainment, I’ll still take it over Iron Man 3 which I don’t hate anymore as well. Phase 1 has aged pretty well today

I honestly never really got the hate for this one. I find this movie better than any CRAP in Phase 4 after No Way Home (yeah sorry guys, No Way Home and the Guardians Holiday special are the only stuff I like or tolerate in Phase 4). This movie technically sets up The Avengers due to it introducing us to Fury, Widow, and War Machine. I would give this movie a 6/10
Werewolf by Night, Moon Knight, the GOTG Holiday special are the only good to come out of Phase 4. I haven't seen Black Panther 2 nor do I have plans to.

My Only Issue With Iron Man 2 Matt, is I do Agree that they need to have Scarlett Johansson & Samuel L. Jackson & there Characters in the Movie to Set Up The Avengers, Cause it felt Like an Unnecessary Subplot in the Movie, But Still Solid Sequel I Love Iron Man 2
Not a patch on the first... but still way more watchable than Iron Man 3, I thought Whiplash was a poor villain when this was released, but compared to some of the more recent Marvel baddies he now comes across as a decent character.
The reason Why they Replaced Terence Howard in Iron Man 2 with Don Cheadle Cause Howard got fired cause he wanted a Higher Salary if he starred in Iron Man 2
This movie is nowhere near as good as the first one, but it’s actually aged pretty well. The theme of privatization vs government is solid although it is a bit undercooked when the third act just becomes a giant battle. Justin Hammer was a fun character who should absolutely return if they don’t ruin his character (which they will). I personally don’t like Don Cheadle though. Cheadle is just too dull, and I don’t even like him as a person. Mickey Rourke was definitely underused unfortunately.

I didn't see it in cinemas because I wasn't really into Iron Man though it didn't help because I had to go to the toilet so bad I held it in but still I watched it a second time on Netflix and find it ok. I saw this quite late along with Iron Man 3 which I didn't see in cinemas also. With Iron Man 2 I find it watchable the scene where Happy looks behind when Black Widow is changing in his car I'm like ok..... but I agree on the villain parts also they feel a bit lacklustre I think.
I remember blacking out and daydreaming about random sh*t during this movie because it was so boring. Maybe I’ll give it a rewatch if you say it ages well.

Decent b level super hero film 🎞️,way better villain with Mickey compared to the messed up version of the mandarin in iron 3.
Not as good as the first one. But still a million billion lightyears better than that Iron Man 3 travesty and most of the recent MCU films.
