i LOVE what you said about frizz. it’s actually a bit of a toxic side effect of the CGM, the whole aim is to avoid frizz.. thats a natural part of having curls and a beautiful part too. it’s what gives volume! let’s be more accepting of who we are
i genuinely think the frizzy hair look really suits your face structure and makes all the features of your face stand out, makes you look more feminine actually.
This might sound silly, but the idea of wearing my hair natural/frizzy with no curly hair products in it feels SO liberating... the fact that I can just do it (and have always been able to, but never did!!) actually blows my mind 😅🤯I have always scheduled washing my hair whenever I have enough time to apply the products and style my hair, usually at the expense of a dry and itchy scalp 🙄.... so I genuinely cannot wait to jump in the shower tomorrow morning, wash my hair and wear it natural for a change!!! Thank you 🤩❤
this is first time someone speaks nicely and wisely about frizzy hair, i love how girls today are more open and encourage self confidence and acceptence
@@IndecisivegurrlAlex i litteraly just went outside this evening with my frizzy hair proudly just after i watched her video lol crazy how one youtube video puts huge impact on a person, my hair looks like hers too!!
i love what u said at the end abt ur hair! i think it’s bcs in movies the “transformations” that are shown usually involve a woman going from having curly, frizzy hair to straightened hair (as if she is somehow supposedly more put together) so it’s shown in a negative context. also, curly hair is a trait more commonly associated with non-white features which goes against the modern day beauty standard 🙄. it’s not right at all and you couldn’t have put it better. you look beautiful!!
I've struggled with frizz like my whole life - my hair isn't even very curly, it hardly waves anymore, but man does it get super frizzy! I use argan oil to calm it a bit but it doesn't last all day. That last part on frizz was sooo encouraging and confidence boosting to see another woman embracing it! Thank you so much for including it!
lately i came up with the same idea about frizzy curls.. just because they are not defined - doesnt mean they are unhealthy. actually sometimes it may be the other way around. i love the frizz, wild spirit vibe
Yes! And I wonder so, how it comes when I see other women with big wild hair I love it so much but when my hair is like that I feel embarrassed or wrong, but it is my hair. I often laugh and say I wish I was young in the 80's, I wouldn't have to do much with my hair at all then. I am trying to embrace the "mess" but it takes time...
Yes! Adding a scrunchie to my ponytail (even if an elastic is secretly wrapped underneath) really helped me embrace my day or two before wash day frizzy look. Just some product spritz to retain moisture and I'm good to go
You have the most beautiful hair. So glad you're letting people see it in its natural glory. Hopefully more people will embrace the beauty of the friz!
100% agree with the last hair statement. Our hair doesn’t always need to be so defined to be presentable. I mean this to no offensive but a Caucasian women can throw her hair into a “messy bun” and pull pieces off hair out all over the place and walk into a board meeting and nobody bats an eye. But i let my curls frizz, and I’m not a true “naturalist” or God forbid i don’t lay my edges down. What if i don’t want baby hairs? What if i don’t like swoops and curls on my forehead! It’s exhausting!
I've never seen a messy bun in a business professional setting, white or otherwise. If we're gonna be honest, other black women are the most critical of black hair since they know more. White people don't really know what edges are or what "defined curls" mean.
I’m so glad you are embracing your natural hair. My hair growing up was straight as a paper and I always admired Julia Roberts big frizzy wild hair and burned and damaged my hair during teenage years trying to accomplish that look 😅
Your hair is literally so amazing, it's thick and beautiful! I hope you keep it natural more often as I've always heard that our natural god given hair is what suits us best in the end :)
these videos are amazing. as an 18 year old girl who grew up without a mother around, there's so many things i would never even think to be doing. a lot of beauty channels promotes thing that are expensive or inacessble, or just simply too hard to do because of mental health. but all of your tips are things i can slowly start integrating into my life FOR FREE. I also really really appreciate the bit about frizzy hair. As a curly girl who feels they just cant get the whole "curly girl method" down, i find myself always tying my frizz up into some bun. thank you for making me feel beautiful
Loving the natural hair!! My hair looks exactly like yours and honestly I was already expecting you to have a blowout by the end of the video and when you just accepted your beautiful natural hair made me so, so happy ❤️
I've been watching your channel since I was in middle school. Now, I am a senior in high school. You have helped me put more intention into my actions and discover my own essence of beauty. So I am beyond ecstatic that you are embracing your frizz and natural curls because those are your natural features. Thank you for the amazing content as always
It’s honestly so good to have you back. You were always the big sister I never had and I learned so much from you. I’ve been in a somewhat bad place the past few months and your videos inspired me to take care of myself a bit more. Just know that you’re always appreciated. Much love from Egypt ♥️
The thing about press on nails is, if they come off by soaking them for just 8 minutes in warm water an soap, then they also come off with a shower, a bath, washing dishes 😕😕 That's why I only wear them very rarely for occasions periods and literally use super glue to keep them on. (Yes, I use super glue but as I said I very rarely do this)
Loved the video, dear. And yes, I also want to see the facial massage one. Your hair is beautiful, I also wear mine with its frizz and mood, and people tell me they like how natural it looks. While it's well taken care of, everything looks great. :)
I wish I had that much volume in my hair. Mine is very thin - but at least I only need 2 or 3 minutes to blow dry it. So, always remember to appreciate what you have :)
Relate so much on the curly hair part. Like it takes so much effort to get it to be defined and I really think we should embrace the frizz as it doesn't mean it's unhealthy if it is frizzy.
I love your natural hair! It has so much volume and I think it suites you sooo well 🥰 It’s beautiful the way it is and using heat or doing a complete routine can vary the look but don’t forget that you don’t HAVE to do it to look gorgeous
I really don’t know how to describe it any better, but whenever I watch your videos, I’m left with a really warm, golden feeling in my heart and mind and I feel comfortable and feminine. you always give me the confidence and motivation to step into my physical and mental form and take care of myself. I’m struggling a lot right now due to heartbreak and depression, but your videos always manage to light me up and motivate me to get up and do something for myself. you’ve mentioned that you’re currently struggling as well, and I hope soon you will feel better. just keep in mind that healing is not a linear process, and allow yourself to feel what you have to feel. lots of love for you and your awesome work ❤️
Speaking as a fellow dark haired woman with frizzy wavy to curly hair, I love seeing you learning to embrace your natural hair. I also found 80’s Julia Roberts inspiring, along with other lovely ladies. Except when I go to my stylist, I haven’t used heat on my hair in years and it feels so much healthier and happier.
I was watching "mystic Pizza" with Julia Roberts and thinking about how much I loved her big, untamed and frizzy hair. It's gorgeous. And theres something so feminine and effortless about that look. ❤️ I love your hair
i just really love and appriciate all of your womanly videos! these have been so helpful in my beauty routine! can u plz do a video on how to choose a skin routine? I'm always so lost when it comes to skin care, essences, acids, toner etc
When i look at your vids from years ago you look older then vs now your skin looks so youthful i love the no makeup look you have with things like eyebrow tint and lip stain thats kinda how i do my "makeup" too
I agree with the frizzy hair! Sometimes I’m like f it and I embrace it. Because it is too much work. And sometimes I like it because my hair looks bigger and fuller haha. When I add product it gets too flat. Love your videos! Gotta try the glue on nails.
I have thick and long hair and even if they are not curly at all, they get super frizzy and look all over the place: I discovered a few years ago that putting them in two regular french braids at the sides of my head while they are still a little humid helps a lot...I sleep on them and when I wake up I have defined waves that lasts and I only need to brush the top of my head to be able to go out looking good without wasting time. I usually sleep with my hair braided anyways so it's not a hustle for me.
I have naturally frizzy, poofy hair too and it's so refreshing to hear your take on it. People always asociate my frizz with "fried" and I try to take such good care of my hair and they just don't understand that it's an actual hair type and it's not because I don't take good care of it. LOVE your hair.
Just so you know, I've always wanted big voluminous hair like you. To me, your natural hair is not a flaw, it's an incredible asset...and you should flaunt that freaking amazing hair on your head girl. You look stunning
I know it's easy to say from the outside, but your actual natural looks much more appealing to me. Besides from my personal preference, it also has conventionally admired feature such as length, density, homogeneity with your other features, etc. I hope you keep loving their natural form more everyday!
whenever I hit a low in life and stop taking care of myself mentally and physically, i come back to alexandra and boom - my life quality does a 180 and i instantly start feeling better. love forever x
I feel like I have the same struggle with my frizzy hair? The irony is that I look at you at the end of the video with your big, frizzy hair and think you look lovely; I genuinely think you rock it. So it's funny how I don't feel the same about my own frizzy hair xD I will def try to take that lesson to heart.
My hair texture is naturally almost identical to yours. Everyone would always say how frizzy, dry, and damaged it is, but it’s just naturally super coarse and high porosity. GAME changer for me to wear it naturally was no glycerin/humectants in my styling products at all, and just doing a protein and moisture rich leave-in, sealing it in with an oil or serum, then a high hold gel, all in shower on very wet hair. Go about my day and just let it be. WAY less frizz. Couldn’t believe it honestly.
YESS LETS MAKE FRIZZ PRETTY AGAIN!!!! In the past Hollywood has made it out that removing frizz is what makes someone beautiful. And I know I'm hypocritical and saying this because I personally don't like my frizz but I think sometimes it can be super cute, just societal pressures make me feel like I need to get rid of it
lately I feel like I've no time to take really care of my beauty and I just love seeing you taking care of yourself, it motivates me to find that time on purpose 💜
Wow I missed you
Yes, missed a lot
Same
Who didn't?

I think frizzy hair can actually be so beautiful. I hope it makes a comeback. Women used to be painted in famous paintings with their hair like this.

That’s no silly at all that’s so beautiful people always look their best when they look like THEMSELVES🤍more of this please
I am so done with caring what anyone thinks of my hair as long as I’m ok with it.
After watching this I took my son to school with my hair a wavy/frizzy mess and received a compliment about how great my hair looked?! Thank you!! 💖
Loved the last part. I feel this sort of pressure when my naturally curly hair isn't perfectly defined! Wonderful video as always!
I think your natural hair is beautiful. I love seeing you wear you hair both ways, straightened and smooth, natural and curly!
Your natural hair is absolutely stunning
Your hair is so gorgeous natural and "frizzy".. Perfection. Totally embrace it.

ANOTHER NEW VIDEO IN LESS THAN A YEAR? we're feasting omg
This passive agressive tone had me rolling I wasn't expecting that😂😂😂 Facts she only decides to film when she runs outta money
@@terken8454 i wasn't even being passive aggressive i was genuinely surprised 🤣
your hair is goooorgeous!!!! I love the frizz and the natural look so much
Seriously, your hair is beautiful without heat. I love this natural style and Carol's Daughter hair line is well known.
I can't tell you enough as someone with straight hair how much I adore "frizzy" curls. It looks so beautiful
She’s so beautiful even without makeup and her hair is so luscious and pretty
