First time trying 3D French nails

- my first time trying the 3d French nail trend! using gel polish and acrylic on bitten nails
this two nail design took 2 hours to complete!!
keep that in mind if you plan to do it or request it as a client!
in this video, I'm using Glitterbels brand products. First step: prep nails as usual- I apply tips on my bitten nails, shape them and then do a smile line using dusty rose cover. I let that dry, then file the line and apply gel polish along the ledge and encapsulate in clear, creating a new smile line and repeating the process.

For your first try it actually looks great. I mean it'd better then a lot of people on their first try. Not everyone can pull it off. Even if you didn't get the results you wanted it's still a pretty nail.
I don't want to speak for everyone so I will say this is felt by the majority of the people who come to your channel because we love the content you make. You never waste our time. Thank you for this video, i loved it, expecially liked how real you kept it. It really helps to hear how long it took you and how difficult it was, as opposed to the thousands videos lasting 5 minutes making it seem so easy. First time i tried it took me forever, plus my walls were not thick enough and my nail not long enough, it came out a total mess where the 3d effect was completely lost. Thank you, you make it easy for us to relate to you, and you are just so nice. I also appreciate how you take the time to like and respond to comments people leave you on your videos, makes me feel connected to you. As opposed to others (one i think you know her very well actually) whose videos i left many comments and questions on, and i never got an answer or a comment, and they don't have that many followers or comments to justify ignoring. So thank you for being you.

Ty for sharing the time you spent doing this 😍 I feel so much better because honestly I was getting discouraged. It takes me forrreevvveeerr to do an acrylic set using tips. So I couldn't imagine doing a whole set using paper forms and acrylic 👀😍💅

I think you did really well and I think the 3D french is a fun idea but I agree it looks timely. Maybe something I wouldn't do on every single nail because I become super impatient fast. haha.

Thanx for your great video :) i have 2 questions; is it possible to incapsulate diamond painting stones? And with gel most people have a normal gel brush and a glitter gel brush. Why does no one do that with acrylic?

Yea haha it would be faster using polygel instead- I saw naio nails channel did that once and it would be wayyy faster
I love that you show us “first tries” it truly helps. I have a question/observation. I’ve seen this done with all acrylic with very similar results, what is the reason you chose gel polish? I only ask because I’m curious if the gel polish does something different as far as looks go ? I love this look and think you did an amazing job for a first try & you chose a super pretty color scheme. It’s an epic improvement on basic pink and whites😉
Gel polish is easier to use because you can lay it down a lot thinner. And opaque colours work best. (thats why Sarah put white down first, to give the other milky white shimmer more opacity). If you have gel paints, that would work even better.
It is possible to use acrylic for your colours; just make sure they are highly pigmented to get the best result .

Dry dusting just a dust brush
And on my lint free wipe I use 99% alcohol

I'm glad you told us how long it took you!🙂 I think it took me about the same for my first time, and I used all gel.
I think, maybe you could have done your whole hand, but with practice. Meaning; while you were waiting for each layer to "dry" you could have done a finger, in between. I hope I'm making sense😒😏. You look great by the way! Is babies room ready??!!

I’ve been waiting for you to do a tutorial or a blog on your pregnancy, how you found out, what the hunny did or said.,? And will you have a big reveal of baby gender? Maybe you want it private , but you are so loved in this industry you have tons of followers on all your social media that we’d love to see & know all the little details. So many you tubers have blogs on the whole pregnancy I wonder if you’d consider having us follow on a blog.
