Frisco and Felicia The Good- Bye 2 " Don't do this"

- Frisco is waiting for the phone to ring like it is a bill collector or something.. This is where he asks Tony to watch over Felicia and the baby. Frisco asks Felicia to meet him at the docks. This is worst good bye in Frisco and Felicia history.. He then tells her he has to leave again. Felicia tells him she will nver forgive him and the pain in her eyes looks so real..
Here I am crying again...... Frisco leaving Felicia always makes me cry, no matter which time. The writers never gave this couple what they deserved. So much of it never made sense nor was it true to who they had been.
such a sad moment. he had to go do what he had to do, but poor Felicia doesnt understand. This was so heartbreaking to watch! I cant imagine what Frisco felt as he walked away from her. I cried the whole time he was saying goodbye!
This one is just as hard to take as the 2013 ending!! Not one of their finest moments. Seems like writers just to come out spur of the moment reason for his leaving the show and could not come up with anything else.
i dont think the writers ever let us know what really happened when Frisco had to leave so quickly. Later, when Georgie was murdered, right before then, Felicia had been with Frisco on assignment and I am assuming he must have told her then. but it was never revealed to us. Just that Frisco had to go and it had something to do from the past that would hurt Felicia and the baby. Regardless, it was still heartbreaking to see him say goodbye to her just as she thought they were making a life.
Frisco would never leave like that at least if he was real lol.
It was such a sad scene. Frisco blindsided Felecia by telling her that he had to leave her and Maxie to protect her from something from his past. I felt bad for both Frisco and Felecia. They were hurting so bad, as he kissed her shoulder and said that he would be back, and then walked away.. How heartbreaking. I wish we could have gotten a goodbye kiss or hug from them. I also wish we could have seen Frisco saying goodbye to Maxie as well...
Best things about watching these old clips in pieces: 1) can forward past stuff I don't like. 2)this was a busy time in my life and I watched sporadically at best, so much of this is new. 3) I can pretend the characters behave according to character and didn't all run off or fake deaths because the actors left.
Bailed on watching GH, back around the time Frisco returned from the 'dead' and was trying to win back Felicia. Up to that point, totally devoted fan of F&F. Had not seen this clip prior to now as I just discovered the old GH videos in early 2024. Read the comments for this clip, prior to viewing, and this really was painful. Beyond brutal. The writers were systematically destroying F&F, as a couple and as the individual characters, in the days and weeks leading up to this. Downright tortuous trying to make sense of what I was watching as it certainly wasn't the pairing I adored. JW's departure was so uncharacteristic and sudden. The writers not only stabbed us in the heart but then proceeded to twist the knife. 😢
I'll continue to cherish all of the F&F episodes ('84-'87), which I revisit, and will continue doing. Am emotionally exhausted from trying to journey through the entire F&F story. When someone previously suggested that JW/F should've stayed 'dead' I was opposed to the idea, plus JW was amazing in his scenes as Frisco attempting to win Felicia back. (The character of Felicia, so untrue to who she'd been with Frisco, had already morphed into someone else with seemingly little recall of her love for him and the show couldn't be bothered with giving her memories of their time together.) But now I realize I'd've preferred that Frisco had remained gone. If/when Felicia...and her girls... were off screen, we'd've been more accepting of them supposedly being together, off in some farflung corner of the planet, solving crimes. He would be with the woman he adored, the 'Lady of his heart.' (When was the last time Frisco referred to Felicia as such, or the LOMH song played? Ever played in the later years?) Seems almost unthinkable that the clearly inept GH writing team found a way to totally decimate a pairing which was beyond magical and a fan favorite, supercouple of daytime. GH, shame on you.
This is when they were going through real life trouble, right? Because she ended up taking like a 6 month leave from the show after they broke up.
Kristina contract was up in Fall 91 and Kristina took time off to be with thier 1yr Son.
I would like to voice that not only was this out of character for Frisco to leave his wife and child, but the way he left is a total tragedy to F & F love story. The writers were obviously not creative enough to come up with a plausible story that would have left F & F's love in tact. No way, No how that the Frisco of 1984-1987 would've abandoned his one and true love along with Maxie. Shame on the writers for their blatant incompetence with these two characters. I know they are just characters, but I HATE the writers for what they did to F&F. I stopped watching GH because of it and even thought many others like myself voiced their opinion, the writers didn't give a rats ass that they destroyed their own ratings. What a bunch of idiots.
Totally agree this was completely botched up. How could they leave fans hanging with such a horrible departure from JW...Frisco world never have left just like that with no real explanation. Anna saying that maybe it was his feelings for Felicia were not the same anymore and hence left for that reason...because feelings change...what bolony was that? Ugh...this whole thing just pssted me! No wonder GH went down hill...
after going through the whole storyline before this with the search for Mac and Robert in trouble-it makes even less sense that Frisco leaves. Not only does he abandon his wife and child but his best friend too-so stupid

I know that JW left the show, but in spite of that, I wonder why Frisco couldnt have went and taken care of this thing that was from his past and then come back to a life with Felicia and Max? He ran into other assignments and stayed in the WSB and THAT became the reason that he stayed away. The writers could have come up with some creative way to make Frisco be gone instead of just saying he left to take care of one thing. It might have softened the blow for us to see him being gone.
Kristina left cause her contract was up at the end of 91.
She took some time away and then was asked to come back.
She mentioned this in a Nov 91 Interview in SOW.

When Frisco did return, did Felecia ever find out why he left her and Maxie years before, what the danger was and if the danger was over...
Did the writers have less than 5 minutes to write JW's exit this time? This is the worst write-off of a main character in that era that I can remember. Just awful. Even as good as JW and KW are, they couldn't sell this terrible story.
They made so many changes to this once fun, sexy as hell couple that I really wasn't too sorry to see JW leave at this point given what they did to them but they could have written this exit much better - they did have decent writers still back in then.

Why did Frisco wait till the last second to tell Felicia he was leaving? So what if she had an angry meltdown. At least they could have made decisions together and she wouldn’t have felt abandoned, powerless and betrayed.

Why didn’t they just recast? It would have been better than this crap. If it didn’t work out than send him to the WSB. Or considering Kristina was leaving a few months later they could have had them leave together. But instead they just destroyed a great character.
Because no one can hold a candle to JW as Frisco, they did that one time with the guy who played Kevin O'conner, he played Frisco for a bit. Totally stunk
@@ValerieRoberts-n1y totally agree no one can replace him, but I would have rather had a recast then them ruining his character. Back then I probably wouldn’t of like a recast but the way the ruined his character just makes me wanna scream.

I would have written all off Frisco,Felicia and Maxie as a family and gone to Texas. That way they would had thier HEA ending.
