I'm not sure if people realized what happened on that stage. Queen never even attempted to recreate the middle operatic part live. They always just played it back from a tape. These guys - nailed it LIVE with EVERY BAND MEMBER (apart from drummer) doing a SINGING PART as well as playing their instruments.
Of course, Queen is the author of this and they are the geniuses behind this song. But recreating a song like this down to every freaking detail like that "shiver down my spine", all the harmonies or even the various guitar sounds at the end of the rock'n'roll part or that gong at the end or the fact that the guitarist actually has a Red Special - a copy of Brian May's homemade guitar - it's all the details like this that make this performance absolutely outstanding. These guys were almost note-for-note and sound-wise perfect (take a note of the piano sound - it's not a generic preset sound!) and it would take an enormous amount of work to top this performance.

@@domdomp5224 Good catch. I found her performance and it's a very strong one. I still count this one as best cover because the groove and effects are better but she comes a very strong second.

as a musician who has toured for over 20 years, this is a ballsy song to play live and they nailed it.

Random fact: When Queen do a concert, and when they play that song, they start in the ballad section instead of the acapella. Then the operatic section is just the original recording of the song being played, and then the rock and coda will be played live.

@@jackarmstrong1838 And Roger lost his 4-octave voice quite early on in the band's career. The keyboard player doesn't appear to be singing Roger's high notes in the Gallileo section and neither does anyone else shown in the video. That said, it's the best cover I've ever heard.

Traditional way is to walk off the stage and play a recording of the opera part I highly applaud them for doing it somewhat actually right that opera part I've heard is a genuinely hard part to sing and they did a fine job at it.

This is the best live performance I have heard of bohemian rhapsody.
This group has a heart of titanium. They did stairway and bohemian rhapsody live and did them well. Just amazing.

As a singer and bassist in a 3 piece band with over 1200 shows in 15 years
This is musicianship of the highest order, they can literally nail any song that's ever existed in popular or rock music and make it sound incredible.
James Cole on guitar is fantastic, and the guy on keys is unreal

This band show us that if you want to play covers, you need to treat those songs with the greatest respect and love. That's what they're doing and every song that I've heard from them had left me amazed and almost in tears. The talent here and the performance is unique and incredible. I feel true passion for music. Like the previous comment, I saw Queen live, and the iconic middle choral section was a perfectly synchronized recording, not live. My hat's off to you! Other than no real gong at the end, this was absolutely amazing. Truly incredible this band could pull off such a difficult song not only with precision, but with perfection. Guys, by a damn gong, and oh, you're really gonna want that cowbell.
