Agree with most of your analysis. I feel for Robbo. He was obviously injured but think because there was no replacement for him on the bench he played on. The red card was probably because he felt the pain and his run was off. While the result was not good, his heart was in right place. Just happy with the mentality of the team and how well most of the team gave their best to get that point.
FSG needs to back Slot with contract extensions and signings from a point of strength come January. I don't like the draws, they have cost us titles before. We have lost Trent, it's clear. Gomez looks more comfortable on the LB. It's clear we miss Ibou and Macca. My MOTM is Gravenberch too. I applaud the socks of Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones. It's clear we missed Jota. The Nunez assist to him makes me dream of a front three of Salah, Jota (CF) and Nunez. Elliott changed the game. I wish Endo came on too. I'm glad the Salah to Gakpo route is taking shape. Thank you David Lynch for another post match insights. We go again, up the Reds.
Any other team in the Premier League goes a man down, already being a goal down, against a very good opponent, and the game is over. Only a team of Liverpool's quality earn a draw and have a legitimate chance to win. Over the course of a season, this quality will surely mean we finish top.
This game is proof that if we buy smart in January we could win it, we have the mentality and talent 100 percent. And if we don't, we'll fall away by spring again. I've always been FSG in because how many clubs at this top level are as well-managed as we are. But FSG have to do right by the fans this window.
Unfortunately given the amount of non-homegrown players, it is not possible to bring any more players in without moving any on, unless we’re gonna go buy homegrown which we ain’t gonna do
I wish Trent showed the work rate of Dom and Curtis, he was several times jogging back....can't wait that Bradley is back, maybe I am wrong but it looks like Trent is in Madrid with his head
I find TAA to be an extremely arrogant player who does not put in 💯 %. He does not play with heart. He gives up on runs far too easy. If it wasn’t for his sniper ability to pass he would be mediocre.
The running power of Szoboszlai is hugely underrated, this lad ran more than our costly fullbacks 😢.... today clyne and Moreno could've done better than our beloved Trent and robbo
Gomez gave easily our best FB display of the season - he was brilliant at LB and Fulham eventually just gave up on attacking on that side - he was that dominant.
@ I agree re Quansah, but last year he looked like one of the best young CBs in the world. I’m afraid that Slot hooking him at half-time in the Ipswich game has completely shattered his confidence, and then he makes mistakes that again his his confidence - so he is in a vicious cycle at the moment. Slot has to work on this - we cannot afford to ruin such a talent.
@ I agree re Joe being better at FB than CB (I don’t think he is tall enough to be a top level CB). Being right footed he is obviously better going forward at RB, but defensively he can play either equally well. It says something for Robbo and Kostas that I think Joe is our best LB. If we do not sign a LB in January, then we absolutely must recall Owen Beck from his loan.
Never looked like we were down to ten men. That's the mark of a big team. Sure you want to win, but very much encouraged by the performance. Think we're good enough to win the league
Proud of the Reds for coming back twice with 10 men, Gravenberch head & shoulders above everyone. Ten vs 12 for the majority of the game & we could have won it. Roll on Wednesday
Dominik is underrated as usual. Without him the midfield is swiss cheese. He was bought for his 11m shooting, free kicks, corners, assist passing and is turned into a workhorse. And that rubbish Trent takes all the set pieces. Dom lost weight since he is at Lvp. The casuals will never understand what he does. Quansa is a liability if he doesn't start, (remember the Bruno midfield goal in the 2-2 Utd cup) today if we don't concede in the only chance they have at 1-1 , we win. Robo is turning into a 50/50 match by match. They do play too many games these days. The corporate shits overwork athletes everywhere in F1 even.
The way szobo just drives is insane, his ability on the ball has drastically improved over the past month. If he strikes more from outside the box he is a complete player
I thought that with only 10 men we played our socks off!! GREAT to see Diogo come on and immediately score as well. SUCH a shame about Robbo. Joey G can do a job if needed though... Cheers Mr Lynch!! 👍👍👍
Hi David, Another great vlog! I agree Liverpool have the quality and the character, you would never think we had 10 men at times. We really should be winning our home games. I think Robertson has been great servant for LFC, however, he has lost a yard or so, he not consitent, more of a squad player in view.
Great analysis David and I completely share your positivity. I think Jota deserves a mention. Only on the pitch five minutes a wonderful finish. So not only is Jota back which is a huge positive but he's grabbed his first goal and his confidence will be sky high!
David, thank you for your candor AND optimism. After the red card I wasn’t expecting a victory but I was quickly impressed by the resilience and determination of how 10 battled 11. And once again Slot showed his best of league tactical skills. I believe this squad will continue to play lights out for Arne. All that being said, I’ll feel even better if Man United and Brentford can get results tomorrow.

Also, I didn’t feel like we took take advantage of minutes 50 to 70 enough, but will take the draw and move forward. We need a LB, Robinson in that game was an absolute joke. Edit: No I did mean Robinson, but in a good way. Setup both their goals. Whereas our left back cost us a goal and got sent off.
He’s been awful this season apart from a few game giving a couple penalties away earlier in the season and now red card he’s starting to cost the team points
These are the kind of games where Slot will a learn a lot about his players and also the Premier League. Agree that we need a new LB, Robertson has been a great servant for a long time, but his mistakes have become much more frequent now that he's in a more defensive-minded role, his decision making has become so bad this season. Disappoined in Slop getting booked and missing next week's game, he needs to set a better example.
Every game tells a story and there are many positives, I just think we look shaky without Konate. Quansah is learning and needs time, but thought Trent was very poor for Fulham second goal, just letting Robinson go and that's poor really. Strange how Virgil just stops also. I think the priority for Liverpool should be to sign a centre back in January. We need better back up at CB, long way to go in the season and without Konate in the side we look far weaker in defending, and Trent is more exposed without Konate behind him, Konate covers large spaces. Fulham second goal was far too easy to score
For their 2nd goal, I think Virg pulls back in case the Fulham guy pulls the ball back to someone running into the area, so I have no problems with Virg on this. He quite reasonably left it with Trent and Quansah to deal with. Both failed miserably, but can hardly lay that at Virg's door ....
@@jimflan1712 Virgil looks over his right shoulder and can see the fulham striker closing in on goal with gomez tracking him. Virgils job in that situation is to close the space and shut off the sriker running into the open space, Robinson plays it into the space where the striker gets a clear run inside Virgil and gets a flick before Alisson. Virgil should have run. The danger was in front of him not behind him. Virgil is partly to blame left a huge hole by stopping, he ended up in no mans land, trust me coaches call that poor defending, if you don't close the space down

David amazing analysis once again I am happy with the result when looking at our performance and arsenal result However worried we are shipping goals recently more than we did at start of seaaon
Thank you mate. I’d like to think the defensive lapses of late are understandable: injuries at Newcastle, 10 men in this one. The game at Spurs is huge, though, they need to put on a convincing performance.
Some referees obviously come to Anfield with the mindset that "I will not let the crowd influence my decisions" and end up giving the away team most of the calls.
I totally agree David, difficult circumstances but showed a lot of character to come back twice for the point. We can't be perfect all the time but getting a point under such circumstances says a lot for the culture and determination.
Agree re the fact we should be positive about this as luck/ref were clearly against us. Agree that our performance with 10 men was outstanding and I am very proud of them. Agree that Gravernberch was outstanding. BUT I think Gomez was our best player - he was brilliant. At CB he was rock solid and made a fantastic block to prevent a certain goal. Then at LB he was awesome and showed us that, defensively at least and maybe overall, he is our best LB by a mile. He won everything in the air and on the ground, and his passing was great and he even went forward (even though we were down to 10) and amde some great contributions around their pen area. I think it speaks volumes that as the second half progressed, when Fulham attacked it was virtually exclusively on our right side - Joe had just done their heads in,
Getting tired of fans blaming the Referee all the time, no he wasn't great, but let's face it the Premier league has poor officials, we should be winning games like this. Hope we are not going to throw away our chance of winning something this year, as Man Cheaty ate not playing well. Stop ruling out Chelsea, do so at your peril.
A good result definitely. So many positive things extra to what you mentioned in this rightly so, very upbeat video. Jota back, in the short time he's on, he scores. Very exciting news. Also Elliott back and looking good. Chiesa made the bench too. We have alot to be thankful for. We go again...YNWA
We need to buy 2 players in January or we will fall of by the spring again I’ve always seen this cycle I hope not but we are very too heavy in relying on a couple of players to bail us out too many times
I agree with you on all the positives. Referee and VAR had a shocker imo Pereira shouldn't have been on the pitch to score that goal and how it isnt a penalty when Tete poleaxes Gomez in the box is beyond me.
Good analysis as usual but Chelsea are the main title rival now without a doubt. They can play three different teams now, squad is massive. Arsenal are busted flush now, not enough in attack.
This match is all about the attitude and performance, which was spot on. The point is fine. Move on to the next game with Jota up front and give spurs a game. YNWA.
First and foremost, thank you for your work, it is much appreciated and you’re really the only media I trust so keep up the great work. I do disagree with you that we don’t need to dip into the January market for a LB. It seems to be our Achilles’ heel.
Dave, thanks for the positivity! You are right of course, you cat win 'em all... I think this was a great day for build the siege-mentality that Ferguson lived for at united. I think Liverpool could go on a 7 game winning run now.... days like this make championship team. COYR!
It seriously felt that the ref didn’t want to give decisions to Liverpool, to avoid being accused of favouring the home side! Red card and penalty decision weren’t given to us because of a cowardly or biased or incompetent referee!! Shocking behaviour. 🤬
I don't see Chelsea's inexperience as being some form of disqualifier as viable title winners. Every team, at some stage, that has won the title, are inexperienced. I don't see there defence as being a big weakness. What I see as a weakness is palmer. Keep him out of the game and their creativity takes a marked drop. We marked him out of the game at Anfield.
The only positive I'm taking is we categorically know robbo isn't the same player anymore. Amazing servent for this football club but he needs to be replaced in my opinion
Even when we were 11 players on the field...thought we struggled a little defensively because Fulham always looked threatening...and we did ourselves no favours with robbo who has been in real bad form if late. We need to think of the future for left back and sign someone...don't think kostas is the long term solution. Having said that yeah we got a point...could have lost which would have been worse....we need to pick up our performances but yeah we showed some grit and quality shone through with jota....also nunez probably needs to move kn at end of season...bought as a striker for alot of money and not produced enough...works hard though
David in fairness to you you always give great reporting and always balanced in your reporting you never moan unlike other reporting moaning about funding from FSG throwing players under the bus you never do this fair play to you Liverpool were outstanding today with 10 men the referee was atrocious
Poor graven hasnt had a single day off all season. He needs back up urgently, robbo is sadly in decline. Left back and a DM in jan is a must. That game was massive win considering how it played out. The biggest take was jota being back
Great fightback. Take the point. 11 wins from 15. Feels like last season. We are not cruising and smashing teams this year. We have lost abit of momentum. I worry about whether we will go all the way. We have a slightly porous squad;depth issue; LB, CB, CF issues. Feels just like last season to me. We also have mistakes, sloppiness, poor finishing still within the team. FSG need to buy some players now. Otherwise we will Fall short.
I like the heading "take the positives" Why panic about a small glitch. Fulham played a very good game. But with 10 men liverpool earned a draw. No need to go into tranfer market. Look at Elliott and Jota who came of the bench and what a game they had. Will overlook Trents replacement which cost us 2 points. I firmly believe liverpool will win the league the present squad. And Slot is UNTOUCHABLE ❤🎉
Hard to believe Robertson's level drops by so much so quickly. When are Tsimikas and Connor Bradley coming back? At the moment, Robertson, judged by his errors, belongs to the bench at best, and TAA, judged by his effort, belongs to... well..... probably another team.
@@Wilm-u1q- as Slot later admitted, as a result of that tackle Robbo was probably a yard off it. He still made the mistake so Tsimikas can’t come back soon enough, but the foul on Robertson was probably a red card in itself.
I was there. We were magnificent in adversity. So missed Jota. His goal was what Nunez should and could be doing. Collecting a pass IN THE MIDDLE and beating a man followed by a superb finish. Ref was appalling and the Diop tackle on Robertson was a red. Fulham always a threat at Anfield. Buy Robinson!
Yes, Chelsea can't be underestimated. But they are a little shaky at the back. If they can strengthen their defense this January, they have a chance of winning the league
Today’s game is like last season all over again: start slowly and fall behind, then tries so hard later on to make up the loss. If Liverpool really want to win anything, the players have to be able to start at full speed from the 1st minute. Liverpool has done twice after gaining 8 points lead: we lost 2 points to Newcastle and another two points against Fulham. It can be very costly
Our first touch has been bad all season and for quite a while before that. Just look at fulham today. Our policy of only defending by falling back to 18 yard box finally is catching up with us. Luckily other teams results have gone for us when we needed them to.
I do normally agree with most of what you say. But robo has been rested because ofthe postponed game against Everton. So he’s only played one game since the 4 of December. so I don’t believe that’s a good enough excuse.
It would be criminal if Liverpool did not try and sign Alphonso Davies in January. I know Madrid are the fav's to sign him but at least make an attempt. I am not convinced by either Roberston or Tsimikas This has to be Robertson's last season at Liverpool his legs are shot now .
It was as shown very hard to win game with such type of referees around. Big applause to the both players for putting up an exciting game at the expense of poor referees.
matchfixing officiating. the VAR line was not on VVD's boot and Wilson was offside. Tete foul on Gomez ignored. as well as the two potential fulham reds. pgmol artificially forcing a title race
No goal again from Diaz. Chiesa will offer more goal threat if he can stay fit. With Konate back and Jota and Chiesa hopefully staying fit, Liverpool will be stronger. We also need Bradley and Tskimikas to push for 1st team places.
Nah, we need to consider a LB in January Robbo is a liability at the moment, he’s lost a yard and 2 penalties and a red card in just a few weeks is dangerous to our title challenge. He’s been a great servant and has always given everything but now is the time to look for a replacement. You’d need to rotate him and Tsimi every other week to get the best out of him but then you lose rhythm and continuity.
When a lion or other predator goes to the water hole to attack its prey they instinctively go for the weak , slow or old. They go for the antelope with the limp type of idea, this is what Fulham did to LFC when Andy was still on the pitch. Liverpool really stepped up after the sending off, to be honest Liverpool could just as easily won this game. Zero complaints, just need to get out of first gear maybe a little sooner?
How are you feeling after 10-man Liverpool stole a point against Fulham?
Proud of the effort put in - Crying myself to sleep and hoping Chelsea lose tomorrow
I'll take the point. Robbo's a legend, but that was a rough performance today. Thank you for the speedy, on the ground reaction!

I have no doubts about #8
Before the game today it was going to be a tough game and then go to 10 men, I think it was a good result so we kick on and start again.
I totally agree David, difficult circumstances but showed a lot of character to come back twice for the point. We can't be perfect all the time but getting a point under such circumstances says a lot for the culture and determination.
How ironic that Nunez fed Jota
Why is that ironic?
David we should be winning games like this, no excuses.
Thanks for making me feel better mate
They need to get back to winning quickly!
I think they do need a left-back to be honest, but my view is that they won’t do it in January. Thanks for watching mate!
Dave, thanks for the positivity! You are right of course, you cat win 'em all... I think this was a great day for build the siege-mentality that Ferguson lived for at united. I think Liverpool could go on a 7 game winning run now.... days like this make championship team. COYR!
Thanks for the content
Thought we played well with a lot of heart.Trent has never been a good defender and sometimes shows lack of interest.
Great analysis as always👍
Thanks mate!
It seriously felt that the ref didn’t want to give decisions to Liverpool, to avoid being accused of favouring the home side! Red card and penalty decision weren’t given to us because of a cowardly or biased or incompetent referee!! Shocking behaviour. 🤬
This game proved to me we have the will hunger and quality to win the League.Number 20 is coming.
This was a women and children first game. never scream so hard to my television screen. what a game. miss my Slot
Really missing Konate and Mac to stabilize that spine of the team but take a point because Chelsea , Arsenal and City will drop points
Only takes one point to win league, so this might count at end of season. 10 men was a magnificent performance and that builds team bonding ❤
Agree with you 👍
David in fairness to you you always give great reporting and always balanced in your reporting you never moan unlike other reporting moaning about funding from FSG throwing players under the bus you never do this fair play to you Liverpool were outstanding today with 10 men the referee was atrocious
Perfect analysis Dave 👌
Thanks mate!
Otherwise we will
Fall short.
I like the heading "take the positives"
Why panic about a small glitch.
The ref was shocking. PGMOL vendetta?
Hard to believe Robertson's level drops by so much so quickly. When are Tsimikas and Connor Bradley coming back?
At the moment, Robertson, judged by his errors, belongs to the bench at best, and TAA, judged by his effort, belongs to... well..... probably another team.
He wasn't right after that early knock. I immediately knew Marco Silva was going to tell his forwards to target him.
Probably Ryan’s 8th motm game in the league already. Unbelievable! I would like us to sign the Fulham left back!!
We need to strengthen the team in the defence
A draw is better than a defeat in those circumstances.
Onward in the title race.
David, don't underestimate Chelsea. They are quietly sneaking out there.
Yes, Chelsea can't be underestimated. But they are a little shaky at the back. If they can strengthen their defense this January, they have a chance of winning the league
If they start defending better! They may well do.
Well done David on another good report. Have to settle for the point and use it as experience.
What a game!
I hear Arsenal continuously mentioned as title rivals, lets not discount Chelsea. I think they are more of a threat than Arsenal
Left back is a major issue David, Robbos legs are gone. We need 2 players jan or we probably throw a gift of a season away.
I do normally agree with most of what you say.
But robo has been rested because ofthe postponed game against Everton.
So he’s only played one game since the 4 of December. so I don’t believe that’s a good enough excuse.
I’d also say a factor here, as mentioned by Slot, was that he took a horrendous challenge early doors and hadn’t shaken it off.
We really do need a left back in January. To many ropey moments from Robbo this season.
Unpopular opinion: Trent is playing against us these days. Watch him in this match. He kept leaving our makeshift CB by himself time after time.
No David we need players!!!!!
It would be criminal if Liverpool did not try and sign Alphonso Davies in January. I know Madrid are the fav's to sign him but at least make an attempt. I am not convinced by either Roberston or Tsimikas This has to be Robertson's last season at Liverpool his legs are shot now .
Need some backing from fsg and get them signed contract
It was as shown very hard to win game with such type of referees around.
Big applause to the both players for putting up an exciting game at the expense of poor referees.
Referee was really bad. Trent was worse.
Great players , Staff & croud shame I can't day the same about the fan channels and fsg
Time to get our big three signed and add some pieces in January
Welcome back Jota!!!
matchfixing officiating. the VAR line was not on VVD's boot and Wilson was offside. Tete foul on Gomez ignored. as well as the two potential fulham reds. pgmol artificially forcing a title race
Has stime caught up with Robbo, cost us 2 points today with his catastrophic 20 minutes ...
I really don’t get how Chelsea are flying so under the radar as title contenders
If they start defending better they’ll be up there.
@ they’re a point above Arsenal with a game in hand ….
