      My uncle is George and Achille Baquet. They were the sons of Theogene Baquet. George played with Buddy for a time

    I just saw "Bolden" and I thought the film was put together poorly. I felt that sections of the movie had too many flashbacks with no substance.

      i know this comment is old but I still want to explain where the wax cylinder most likely went
      the buddy bolden band probably recorded the cylinder with a man named Oscar Zahn, and all of his cylinders that he recorded were kept in a shed in an area of Louisiana frequently flooded. this would’ve probably already damaged the cylinder before we even could’ve found it. this shed was destroyed in the mid 60s, along with all of the cylinders. SO THAT MEANS THAT THE CYLINDER PROBABLY NO LONGER EVEN EXISTS D:
