I loved hole 14. It provided electric results on Saturday and Sunday. Sully's throw in on Saturday and Luke's putt on Sunday. There was space above the basket that was rocky that players could land the disc there safely. Great hole and with great score separation - which is what we all want. I wouldn't be opposed to some kind of wall 35-45 ft down the hill to save rollaways, but I didn't mind it how it was. These are the best players in the world. They can deal with a hard hole.

"Wire to wire" is based off the final score for each round. Having staggered start times throughout the day it would be almost impossible for anyone to have always been the leader "wire to wire" if that means they always had to hold the lead.

I'm crushed for Holyn. +8 on the final round has to feel so, so bad. She had it and just collapsed under the pressure. I hope she gets more comfortable.
Eveliina as a champion is great. She has the most infectious smile in disc golf and I always like when she wins. Her struggles make her really relatable.
Kristin has clearly taken a step back this year, and I wonder if she makes a comeback. She's not a lock for podium anymore.
Although I like Eveliina winning, watching Kat winning worlds would have been ELECTRIC.
Isaac defending is sweet. His game is so awe-inspiring when he's on, and he's a pure golfer that just wins on skill. Love it.
I can't wait to see more of Buckets and Luke Taylor. Luke might be the new Eagle with that huge distance.

I'm pretty new to watching disc golf and haven't even thrown a disc golf disc, but I found both courses among the most fun to watch -- both in the top 10 for sure. I was surprised to hear that some players didn't like Ivy Hill and even that some of the audience found it boring. I suppose that told me that I hadn't picked up on some of the nuance yet.
It'd be fun to get a walk around Ivy Hill with Paul McBeth to have him talk about how he'd change holes, if at all, to make it more appealing to everyone.

Even I hated the green on 14. If it had been just grass, like hole 10, I almost certainly would have liked it. You can't. FPO is barely above an amateur division, any stat for there is 100% irrelevant to real discussion.

Holyn's mental game is the only thing worse than Eveliina's putting. Also Kristin hasn't been the same since she quit jump putting. It's kind of a shame she's let the nobodies affect her game when half the MPO field foot faults on step putts every hole.

I don't think the jump putting thing has any relevance. She fell and broke her ribs or something, dude. Then, just got married, it's just life's ebbs and flows. She'll be back once she can refocus on DG.

Glad the cheater didn’t win. She probably would have tried to argue strokes as in bounds. Once a cheater, always a cheater glad she could win.

I kept hearing everyone say he went wire-to-wire. I don't consider Isaac to have gone wire-to-wire. To me, wire-to-wire is when the entire field was equal or behind the leader's pace at every hole of the tournament. Therefore, the leader never lost the lead. So if someone on your card takes the lead, that is not wire-to-wire in my opinion. Maybe we need another term similar no-hitter vs perfect game in baseball.

Wire to wire is being the leader after every round, it always has been. When Issac tee'd off to start his round there was already a leader in the clubhouse. Disc golf/golf doesn't care what your score is after hole 7 or 17, it only matters what you finish the round at.

Imo if there were no issues with signal (so Jomez confirms this), New London is much more fun to watch than Ivy.

Hole 14 at Ivy, I like the green. I am shocked that the best can’t figure it out. It wasn’t that hard to remove the unpredictable ground play.

Were players getting stung by yellow jackets? Thats crazy. I may be slightly allergic but those things hurt baaad. I often cant sleep after getting stung, they hurt bad enough to keep me awake for around 30 hours. Then i swell up pretty bad for around 6-10 days. Not to mention my heart rates sits at around 160bpm for about 8 hours after. I got into 3 nests last year and ever since then im so paranoid about it that any time im outside and something touches my leg i jump up in the air. Ive destroyed 4 nests this year in my yard. Everyone i talk to says they are the worst theyve ever seen this year, not sure why but damn i hate it.

    Hello guys,
Although I'm aware you attended the event in person and didn't watch DGN at all, I'm kinda surprised the live coverage wasn't discussed at all during the POD. Let me share my little experience.
I re-subscribed my DGN just for this event after like 2 years. I usually just don't have much time to watch live anymore and as a European, it's really tough for me to watch live events that are not taking place on East Coast. But since I know these courses so well from your videos, I just wanted to see the live coverage.
My experience after such a long time is, to put it mildly, disappointing. I don't care about few minutes of stream being off because of technical difficulties. But the Issue was that New London live coverage was basically unwatchable. It was so blurry most of the times, I felt like owning dial-up internet again. Especially when you compare live shots of players throwing (where you very often literally can't see a thing) with nice clean drone shots and polished ads.
One would think that the Issues with live broadcast quality end up at Ivy Hill open golf course. Well, how mistaken this expectation truly was. It's definitely better then wooded New London, but far from perfect. The quality went drastically down when changing camera angles during live shots. Which is honestly the moment you want to see the most. Just watch the recap videos on DGN YT channel and you can see the point.
I understand the arguments how Discgolf is just a small sport and the costs for DGN is partly supporting the Tour, players and the sport itself. However when I consider DGN costs are more than a Netflix monthly subscription at the moment it simply doesn't make any sense. The DGN wasn't cheap even years ago but since the pricing went up before this season I was expecting some improvements.
Not sure if above Issues are mainly due to location of this specific event, but the product surely feels not good enough in my eyes.
I hope you all have a great week!l

It’s wild because when yall first played ivy months ago, I remember hearing the comment “certainly they’ll change hole 14s green for worlds” and I’m sure they heard the feedback and ignored it. Fix that hole and it makes that course so much better

Just happy Nat Ryan didn't get podium. They should make restictions that fpo is only for biological women. Since the "MPO" is an open divison for men, women, anything
