I remember a very nice man who was a skilled cobbler who lived in our little town - Mr. Hearn. I had a few pair of shoes repaired / resoled by him. When he got through, your shoes were better than when bought new. This video brings back some memories of him. Great work and video. Keep this art alive. Thank you and God bless!
Fantastic craftsmanship! The boots look beautifully restored. Your work reminds me of a cobbler who repaired several of my shoes-he was also a kind and skilled artisan. It's rare to find such talented craftsmen these days. Thank you for sharing.
I’m glad to see the Beckman’s were brought back to life! Redwing had brought them back but I think they changed the last, still a good looking boot, but these older ones looked better in my opinion
Outstanding craftsmanship! Do you recommend these half sole mini Vibram over same half setup Dr. Sole? I am just asking for when my Iron Rangers resoling time comes.
@ agreed. I have a pair of IR. Once broken in they are great. I do wish they have a leather midsole just below the cork. Would be even more comfortable once broken in.
Barge glue, also called Barge Rubber Cement has quite a few chemicals & compounds in it. Its main component is n-Hexane, but also has acetone, alcohol, and Heptane in it. There is a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for it if you want to know more. Just google search “Barge Rubber Cement MSDS.

I see some awesome Tallent in him and the mechanical machines he uses. People had some skills when those machines were made and designed 🎉🎉🎉
Я смотрю многих подобных блогеров , но у этого мужика в отличии от многих, рабочее место в чистоте и в порядке. Молодец 💪👍
Cobbler is a lost art. Cheers
Beautiful shoes

Master Craftsman at work....great job !
Great work! It'd be awesome if there were subtitles explaining the steps as you were performing them (like Primitive Technology does) for us plebs! :)
Noted
Love those boots 🥾
Real nice work and I really like the style and look of the boots .
Thank you very much!
Great, the sounds is normal again!!! 😊 🎉
Thank you 😋
Very nice and neat job
Thanks for watching!
what a nice craft shoe making and repair is. I wonder always how those nails are just the right size not to pierce through your foot;-)
Longer nails bend because underneath them is a steel foot. When a hammer is used, the nail bends to the other side
This made me realize i know nothing about shoes lol 😂
Those poor box cutters must be more dull than an office job when you’re done 😂 it’s beyond me though!❤
😂 You got it.
My 1983 boots have screws in the sole edges!
10:07 The old cork was kept. It didn't need to be removed? Just wondering 😊
There was no old cork remaining. Any small remnants were removed before the new one was installed.

I’ve tried both options on my Iron Rangers, and for winter, Vibram is my go-to choice. Just my personal preference!
@ thanks!
What I find interesting is how easy it is to break down the sole compared to some of the PNW boots. And yet, the boots lasted a long time.
They’re very well-made boots, and the materials they use are top-notch.

I have on that's literally identical, except is not the same maker (probably a counterfeit)
What is barge glue made of? Does anyone know?

Tolle Videos. Aber wenn du den Klebstoff einstreichst schläft man beim zuschauen ein.
Due suggerimenti: diminuisci la pubblicità, che è veramente eccessiva e mostra anche il trattamento della pelle con detergente e crema.
