Bought one a couple of weeks ago. I swear you dont need a blade. Tons of torque. Already had a 91, but wanted to upgrade. Yup its upgrade. Nothing wrong with that 91 though.
I bought the Dewalt 54v brush cutter last year....busted it twice now. I just try to cut too fast with it and it gets caught up in thick grass....just not beefy enough to go reasonably quickly through heavy grass and berry vines. Planning on buying a Stihl 131 to help clear the walking paths around the area I live. The 131 might be a little overkill, but I want to run an Oregon mulching blade with it as well.
I just picked up the 250R last week. Switched over to the cf3 string. Absolute beast in waste high weeds and thistle bushes. A little heavier at 14 lbs but not bad once you figure out a balence point. Love it otherwise.
@@jayusher576 I had been using that but recently switched to the Menards premix called “Super Fuel” just because it was on sale. Seems to be running as well as it did on the Stihl fuel.
Going on 5th year use it on bigger places and whare I need a blade house weeds and Sickles out here I am not shure if the new ones have a plug to grease head
I can't belive it I have same 2 had the stihl far 4 seasons same type of handle dewalt going 3rd season I got a 8hr battry goes about a hour neighbor wasn't getting much time out of his batteries said it ganied battery time by late summer
On that dewalt try running it on low I am like you I use it grass takes me 2hours to weed ear a cemetery I use a 8 hour battry and only switch batteries 1 are2times the 131 is faster but I have 2 much stuff to move good luck
i had one of those you'll be able to cut damn near anything in front of it i also had a 91R it too would cut bout anything those battery powered machines are only made for home owners to trim around their house or their flower garden or some shit like that not for that tall thick shit that was behind ya i highly reccomend ya run .105 x-line in it or other lines of that size you'll thank me later .095 is really too small for that size machine with that much power but goin by what ya have to cut behind ya you made a good choice
I Have a FS 131R and I put a 36-2 head on it with .130 line in it and it works fantastic on thicker grass, weeds, etc and it doesn't break nearly as much as the puny line it comes with when buying the 131 new. If you are just cutting your lawn the FS 131R is really an overkill.

I actually bought a DR trimmer & love it , it’s a lot easier on your body Troy . Good luck
I love my stihl products. That baby will eat that Dewalt lol. It's a savage beast! Enjoy!
Hey how is that stihl lasting I’m thinking of getting one but I’ve heard the new ones kinda suck from some people
Was just using it yesterday and it still works as good as it did on day one!
Trick is to use sthil synthetic mix with non ethanol gas ...👍🏻

@@briancocks1408 im well aware of the power a 131R has i used to have one
That seems wasted money, fs 350,450 better than this crap, and this is too expensive, why?
