Is great that you are showing how to build a shelter. At the beginning you didn’t have the tools you have as time goes by. I guess with your boat you can go to town and get other tools and fresh food as i can see. You even had someone helping you. How far is it from the island to town?
Dig a deep hole and bury a large log deep enough it wont move but still leave about 18" above ground. Now you have a log to use to split your firewood without it moving and falling over every time.

Are you going to continue modifying the house in future videos? The piece you added to the front could be walled in and add some extra storage and make a barrier against the cold in winter. I just feel bad with all the chopping of wood and collection of so much wood!! Too bad there wasn’t any hardwood around…some Maple/Beech/Cherry/Oak would be dandy! I get exhausted watching these guys chop wood until the cows come home! 😊
So where do you fine these places? What small stove was that? Do you fine that a Carpenter Saw work's better then a bow saw for these builds? This video was over 5 hours. So how long did the build really take? Is there some where on this island to get fresh water? Or just from the lake? The video of the bus? Out on the mountainside was great. As was this one. Sorry someone destroyed it!

Put tin foil on the wood behind the candle and it will give more light in the cabin.
