Even eight years later, I still love this song so much, and find myself coming back to it. Back again, playing this... my God, it is close to perfection.
@@Kidcrowley I feel like every band that has an Audiotree session ends up making a mix even better than the original. The Audiotree session of Aphasia by Pinegrove is so well done that it makes the original feel like it lacks some depth. It's intriguing.
@@sudospective it’s a mix of artists sounding better than ever and others not so much. Like the Turnover one, for example, is not the best unfortunately. Some off mixed here and there but as a whole Audiotree has been such a great platform to both smaller and well known artists.
I saw them with Minus the Bear and Circa Survive a couple years ago and that was the first time I heard of them and they blew me away. A great band and even better live.
I like the combination of dissonance, harmony, simple vocal melodies. It's like biting into a toffee apple, getting the sweetness but also the underlying tartness of the apple.
That began as something common and underwhelming and crescendoed into something indescribable. This sounds like how the uncertainty of life feels. It's rather beautiful.
this was right around the time that i saw NN for the first time at Columbia - still love them all these years later, just insanely talented bunch (even Jess with Tancred nowadays).
I listen to this band..Sometimes I cannot handle myself. Such raw emotion and energy behind Jess's voice. I love it!! This puts me in complete awe... so unbelievable.
I would kill to be your clothes Cling to your body and hang from your bones But I could make a mark If you would let me start You've been feeling smaller Take a different number Like you do Like you do When you talk about it You don't want to hear it Tell me more, tell it all, can you take it I would kill to be the cold Tracing your body and shaking your bones But I can't sleep at night I can't sleep at night You've been feeling smaller Take a different number Like you do Like you do When you talk about it You don't want to hear it Tell me more, tell it all, can you take it I can find the things that I have left behind tonight if I try If I try I could find the things that I have left behind tonight if I tried If I tried You've been feeling smaller Take a different number Like you do Like you do When you talk about it You don't want to hear it Tell me more, tell it all, can you take it
MatttGG I'd first start by changing the lyrics to "I couldn't make a mark if you wouldn't let me start". Now I would say it starts off pretty straightforward: I want to be close to you, but I couldn't make a mark (hickey) if you wouldn't let me start (kissing you). At this point I see it at as the head-over-heels "best friend". She wants to be more than what is. Enter the next set of lyrics: The other person talks to them about their problems with the opposite sex, trying over and over (taking different numbers), and telling it all, but when someone else (Cacie) tries to talk or get close, the person can't take it (or maybe she's wondering that). I'm really not sure about the rest, but this seems par for the course as far as the rest of the the concept goes.
yeah this was so worth the watch....... she's even better live..............wow.................she's also very pretty............................excellent job...............
There's just something about a nerdy girl playing guitar that I really like. I can't explain it, but damn are these ladies super attractive. And they are very talented and write amazing songs. Keep up the great work! I've been listening to this one on repeat lately.
The song they played before this, Prehistoric, is in open D kind of, the rest of their stuff from what i can gather is EAC#EBE. I know this is kinda old, but they have good tunings. have a mess around if you play guitar
Audio Tree rocks. Awesome, video/s guys . Great bands, fantastic audio and super camera work. Supper jealous (smile) Daniel from Rooftop Sessions Chicago.
I was about get off the pc and make me dinner, but decided to click on this recommended video anyway. I've been hungry for over an hour now but can't turn off their music.
Here in 2024. Still in love with this song.
Same here
Sames
I love this band so much, in this constellation.
This was an era
Didn't they make some super poppy stuff? I wish they did more with this post/alt down tempo punk sound
Even eight years later, I still love this song so much, and find myself coming back to it.
Back again, playing this... my God, it is close to perfection.
Even 11 now, we’ll always come back here
i used to love this song, 2024 still here
played a show with them in like 2010. really enjoyed their set. still listen to them.
These live sessions are filmed extremely well.
And mixed extremely well too

I have watched this so many times over the last few years. It’s immaculate.
"I cant sleep at night" I love that part, miss this song
Some say the drummer's eyes are still closed even to this day.
Michael Blackmond hahaha this is hilarious!
LMFAO
I was the doctor that gave birth to him. They never opened. But not blind. Just vibing.
WOW thank you random TH-cam suggestion! I do not know how Audiotree performances ended up on my front page but I am eternally grateful
Damn...
Late night roaming of audiotree videos pays off. This is a gem.
9 years later still the same

Favourtie band. Favourite song

Well written! You should seriously consider creative writing, if you havent already.

Toffee apples are awesome, I sincerely pity you.

I remember seeing them live years ago around this time. It was incredible. Such an underrated band.
I've known now now for 5 years and this is the first time I've seen what the band members look like. Ugh such love.
Great song. The drummer does a fantastic job with this piece.
Now Now will always be one of my favorite
Now, Now is fucking badass. The two girls one dude combo is just so...swag. I need them to release another album.

Any way you could explain the meaning at all? Behind the song?
I've got an understanding, but I'm sure

gorgeous version of a fantastic song.
The fact people are judging their looks in the comment section annoys me. They're showcasing their music, judge them on that. Now Now are awesome
What I'd do to play bass with this cute band
00Kie00 get a myspace, lol
00Kie00 they don't need a bass player, they need a kie
