True, they really did him dirty. Out of all the inmates he got treated in the most pathetic way and I don’t get why from a narrative standpoint. Spec also lost in his first real fight against hanayama but the way he was portrayed before and the way the match went made him seem much more intimidating than sikorsky.
Really hope that someday we get the followup to these 5 returning. It'd be really awesome to see them go up against the people they lost against, again, but now having adapted and learned from their past experiences. Would be nice to see how Spec plans to overcome Hanayama, how Sikorsky plans to deal with Jack/Gaia. The others could be interesting too, of course, but it's these two I'm mainly interested in. After the way they lost (Getting absolutely destroyed), you'd think both men would be demoralized and have their spirits broken. But nope; They're ramping up their training to some pretty insane levels. Makes little difference though unless they have a plan in mind. And I'd love to see what those plans are. Spec beating Hanayama feels possible, now that he knows him better. Sikorsky beating Gaia also feels reasonable. But I don't see how Sikorsky could ever stand a chance at beating Jack. EDIT; Also, say whatever you want about Sikorsky, but the episode where he baits Jack to follow him into a phone booth where that poor civilian is stuck with them is by far the most hilarious episode of Baki, by a mile. I felt bad for that guy. They even locked him in there with Sikorsky by wrapping a chain around the whole thing before transporting them away. Poor guy, man. He was just trying to go about his life. Wasn't even bothering anyone. Then suddenly these two meatheads show up, get into the phone booth and proceed to obliterate each other's faces - Next thing you know, you wake up next to one of them in prison. I mean, how do you even begin to explain this night to your family and friends in a way that's believable to ANY degree?
