- Brushed brass, thanks to the elegance it gives to every surface, is one of our most requested finishes. In this video we show the realization on metal of the light and dark brushed metal finish, explaining how it is obtained.
The realization of the light and dark aspect, so that the scratch is clearer and more realistic, must be done by applying more or less patina before brushing.
The brushing operation is then performed in the same way.
We made this tutorial while making some samples, choosing the videos that best explain each phase.
The application is professional spray applications, the application phases are:
- preparation of the substrate (sanding)
- application of the ALLGRIP white primer
- application of the metallic brass paint SM.001 BRASS
- application of the transparent intermediate BASE SV174
- polishing of the SV174 BASE to obtain perfect scratches
- PATINA DP7 application
- patina brushing
- final opaque transparent TM069

Grazie molte! Sempre a disposizione per nuovi progetti
The end result looks beautiful! The guy using the paint gun has an awful technique though.. you're gun should be 90° to the surface as much as possible. So much material wasted at the end of each stroke also! Take yo finger off the trigger!
Dear Paul, thanks so much for your comment! We will try to do better in future!
