A good skipper has his boat running like clock work with every one getting along and doing their job ....No arguing and swearing .....It makes for a happy work place you are that skipper .......From England.
Great video Rasmus, I had the Lomur - we bought from Iceland 1995 - 26m with ramp and we worked twin rig East of Shetland. Brings back memories. My son works on the Aalskere, recently finished at Thyboron (Kynd and Toft) designed by Ove Kristensen. Great vessel!
Really like this video, I've never fished before but I have (granted, VERY basic knowledge of the some of the processes) some knowledge of how they work, but have never had the opportunity to see them work until this video. Keep up the good work, really enjoyed this video.
It actually took the same time to get the gear in and out again on Karbak, as long as there was nothing wrong. The big advantage of this deck is that its so easy to work with the nets, change sensors, or swap to a different trawl.
Jusr so much that I can hold the wirers straigth away from the ship. Once we start with the Gilson winches its very slow going or the net might jump up and hurt people.
Great video, thank you. I would very much appriceate if you could do avideo where you show the different types of winches you have and describe their purpose...how the process is working and how you use the winches one by one when shooting and hauling. Many thanks.
How does the crew knows when the nets are ready to be pulled in? Any special equipment on board or just due to the vessel speed difference / power requirement ?
Hello, skipper, I Heard you ask the guys were they happy I presume you meant were they happy with the haul if so was it a good haul....good fishing from Ireland.
hello, greetings and prosperity, I am from Indonesia, 38 years old, have experience as an international long line and troll net fisherman for more than 10 years and supported by seafaring documents, healthy body, no drugs, can you help me get a job as a ship crew member, thank you very much

@@RasmusHald ,thanks so much for giving us a in depth video of hauling and shooting away ,what speed are you going ahead when hauling the gear?

How do you attach and then detach the trawl door I’ve always wondered that?
It is difficult to explain.
I will try and make a future video that shows it.
