Just did a quick google and now I see Kiy and Corey are cousins. Corey went to Howard with Justin. According to Corey he asked his cousin to make a design they could sell at Howard which is Support Black Colleges. He mentions his cousin was back in NJ were Kiy is and they parted ways and stopped selling the brand. Corey picked the brand back up with Justin as his partner. Seems Kiy kept working on the brand also as there was a lawsuit between the 2 in 6/2020 that seems to be settled and both seem to be making the brand and I assume working together. Nice concept and I like his story. The shirts are dope, the only issue is how can this be sustainable over a period of time. When you have a niche market like this its hard to stay relevant unless you pivot.
I agree to an extent, for my business, I feel that this niche won't subside unless black colleges/colleges in general become a thing of the past which I don't see happening for a while.
