I've just watched several of your welt pocket videos and like them very much. I have two questions regarding waistcoat pockets:
1 - Is there some sort of formula for where to place the pockets? Some certain amount between the center front line and the side seam, or some other calculation? I've never seen upper and lower pockets the same size before; I'm accustomed to a higher, narrower breast pocket.
2 - Could you demonstrate how to match a plaid welt to a body? Thanks.

Hi. Thank you for liking my videos on pockets. I have struggled to find a hard and fast formula of where the pockets should sit. However this seems to work: Bottom pocket is on waistline, top pocket is approx 1/2 way between chest and waistline (Divide distance by 2 then add 1.5" towards waistline). Distance from front edge varies depending on size of person, but I think approx 4-6" from CF. To be honest I think this may warrant a video to explain this better!!!
The pockets are different sizes, but only by approx 1/2-3/4"
Matching Plaids is my nemesis! but yes I will do a video explaining the concept - we will see if I can be successful (on film) to match them!
I hope this has helped, I will do some filming soon!
