My grandfather died last week, he loved Loreena’s music and passed away while hearing her songs, his favorite was this one: Tango to Evora. Even though we weren’t close I can’t stop thinking about him when I hear this song, its curious how even tho he wasn’t that present in my life we had similar tastes in music and art. I was looking for Tango dance videos and opened this video and felt that I have heard this music somewhere, I felt so familiar and just after a few seconds it reminded of the memory associated with this music OMG I can't forget I was dancing actually on this music in Milan with strangers. Oh God I am so grateful for this memory this melodious music and just life.
Evora, for those wondering, is not a woman. Evora is actually a portuguese town. Loreena McKennitt made this music after staying there in the 90's. I's from her album "The Visit". All the photos used to illustrate the album were taken in Evora and other places in Portugal.
