Oh wow that icicle cave was amazing! And if you think you breathe hard while hiking you should hear me! Thanks for sharing the beautiful hike with us Maddie!
Very cool ice palace! Little unexpected things like that are really what make a hike, imo. Sure, there's the destination that was planned for in advance - but those little unanticipated bonus discoveries are what really does it.
What a Gorgeous hike Maddie ❤ You crack me up 🤣 singing about the hillside covered with cream …. Loved it 🥰 You always find a way to be so uplifting on your hikes ⛰️
It all looks so beautiful in the winter! And that icy waterfall was stunning. I've hiked those trails in the summer and they're great - the view from the Big Beehive is amazing. Glad the avalanche danger was low enough to hike this route - there were some fatalities in that area a few years ago so I was a little apprehensive when I saw you heading that way! Nice to have such a peaceful lunch spot - it's definitely not peaceful in summer! 🙂
Wow - great video!! I don’t think I’ve seen that look of joy and wonder on your face before. What stunning scenery. As a cdn viewer, I’m SO glad that you enjoyed your time in the Canada 🇨🇦. Wraps in Beautiful Places … yes!! I’d love to see you spend a year van camping in Canada, maybe after you’ve finished the AT. You could easily spend a month in each province.
Oh that’s great!! I hope I’m doing your beautiful country justice! I had poutine and Canadian beer in the video I put out this morning if you’re interested! th-cam.com/video/uFuV7enC1Lc/w-d-xo.html
How beautiful this landscape is! And it is in Alberta. One of the better places in Canada with the new governor. You are brave. A lot of sites you went in, like the ice cave(a real miracle), some of snowy path, I would stopped before. You are a real power woman.
Thanks so much for sharing your adventures! I love watching your Alaska videos now because that's what got me started in van life, I spent the month driving around Alaska with my parents and their motorhome. I've been on the road for 5 years, and I actually came across you when I was looking for ideas on building a minivan floor recently. I went from a Honda Civic to a minivan to a big Chevy van and now I'm going back to a minivan. I'm living vicariously through you at the moment because I'm saving up to do the PCT in 2024 so I've worked all last Summer, stayed at my seasonal job for winter and I'll be here through November. Lots of exploring to do here in Central Oregon on my days off but my traveling is kind of on hold as a means to an end for the PCT. So keep putting out your great videos you're adorable and I love your adventures. ❤️
That’s awesome! Sounds like you’ve done a lot of adventures and there will be many more to come! The PCT looks amazing. Glad you enjoy my channel and hope you stick around for more!!
I love your adventurous spirit, but hiking on snow slopes of 30 to 45 degrees can be very dangerous avalanche conditions. Checking the daily avalanche conditions or talking to the rangers is really advised. Glad it worked out great. That was an amazing frozen waterfall.
Definitely! I really wished there were rangers or someone to talk to. The big building was a hotel, so even if I went in, the front desk probably wouldn’t have any information on hiking. They did have signs out about it, but a person is always nice to talk to!
6:45 that kind of trail without snowshoes is extrremely taxing on the body - I prefer hiking with boots so I usually turn around when it's not traveled enough props to you ;)
Yep, that was me!! My channel as a whole is about traveling our world to explore nature and sampling the local beer along the way. Back when we filmed that, I was living in my van to accomplish that. This winter, I flew to Alaska and Canada, and for most of this year, I’ll accomplish that by hiking the Appalachian Trail. If that sounds like you’d like to watch a lot of those videos, welcome! And if you’re only really interested in car living, I completely understand!
I enjoy Diane's posts a lot. We did 14 yrs full time RVing a long time ago. So I will enjoy following you. We did a few paces on the Appalachian Tail when we were young. But now in our late 70s still travel and boondock all over , we are planning a return summer trip to Canada and first time to Yukon and hopefully into Alaska. You keep on going.
Hey Maddie… POSSIBLE FUTURE VIDEO..what’s a adventure that you just said….CAUTION MY ASS …I’m do this ?? I don’t think you’re a Gal that lets to much get in the way … great video 🍺🍺
Definitely my Arkansas hike! Lots of climbing and lots of water, but one of the most exciting hikes of my whole life! th-cam.com/play/PLvYOfS-7rVV4IxKOJPr_lnsd_tR2xYI75.html
Thank you so much for showing me the beauty I'm not able to go to.
It’s truly my honor! Glad I could be helpful!
You are awesome thanks for sharing your adventures. You're also brave.
Here I was having a low day, and you come in & remind me of all the beautiful there is yet for me to explore. Dont stop!
That’s amazing to hear! I’ve been feeling not so great lately myself, and I’m so, so happy I could help someone else out!! 💛

I only did like 5 minutes in that type of snow before turning around!
Stay Warm this weekend!!

Wow! Are u in canada right now?
No, I’m back in the US now, but all this month, I’m putting out videos from my trip to Alaska and Canada I took in late January!
Nice snow🍻😄😃🇺🇸
What a life will you have to look back on when you're on your 90's!!?!?
Yeah!!! ☺️
Maddie will still be doing this in her 90's. You watch, she'll have crampons on her walker.
Absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing!! Continued prayers and love for you!!!😊❤️
Also eye protection don't wanna go snow blind.
Can I dm you about questions as I’m going here for the first time this winter
Seriously wear snow shoes don't want to lose you. Stay safe.
Snow shoes??
They cost money to rent, and they weren't needed for any trails I did besides the top of Big Beehive, which I wasn't even planning to do
