There's been a couple times someone has outperformed the og, guess it boils down to crowd likeability and not actual skill ( not saying Micheal isnt skilled) but in terms of technicality, Micheal def lost. This has happened multiple times where the drummer is technically better but the crowd tends to sway towards Micheal

Being the new kill tony drummer wasn’t even sorta on dudes radar and may have been a poor life choice IMO. Dude prolly plays more gigs than most top ten artists. Du är en otrolig trummis. The old kill tony drummer used to add edgy, shock humor to his drum-off performance, so even when there was a more technical drummer than him, they could still save face by saying that he won based off of performance points, which made it a lot less awkward when their drummer actually did lose.

Gonzalez is a top notch drummer and musician, he waaaay outclasses Hemenez by leagues. That being said, Erik truly was his biggest challenge. I can tell he's a metal drummer, and you don't fuck with metal drummers
If Erik went 2nd and his solo was fresh on their ears he would have won! I doubt he would have moved to Austin just to be the drummer for kill tony but would a great addition Erik would be. That laugh, that big lovable teddy bear energy he has. He’s the kind of guy you just want to give a big hug to and laugh over a beer. Am I in love?? Maybe. But seriously though I do believe that technically speaking Erik was better than Michael between these two specific solos and I really enjoyed his time here
