I don't know about that, 9.09 on the backstretch is fairly decent but nothing to write home about. Carter, Blake and Bolt's legs were all faster than their American counterparts, Frater was the only one that got outran.

Really proud of Asafa for providing this platform for Jamaica to know the story behind some of our athletes lives and careers. In fact if it was not for Asafa letting us know years ago that the athletes were only given adulation without compensation, the annual award show by the government might never have happened. Really proud of our athletes then and now.

This is priceless.....thank you Asafa and Alysha! We are not all ungrateful. As a Jamaican living in the US, I am always proud just to see the green, black and gold in the starting blocks. I left Jamaica as a teen shortly after Donald Quarrie's loss to Hasely Crawford in the 100m and his reedemtion in the 200m in 1976 Olympics. I have been proud of our track athlethes ever since. Mr. Frater, congratulations on young Ms. Williams joining your club. I wish you both much success.

Awesome...please bring us more of this. We understand more and we so appreciate you. All of you were so entertaining especially in Beijing 2008. The last leg with those high knees was amazing. I keep watching it quiet offten. You make us a proud people who help us to say ; I am a proud Jamaica. Thank you guys for staying and running for us in Jamaica. You make people whose great grandparents are Jamaican have to make mention that they have Jamaican heritage. Thanks to all of you athletes

I respect this so much, as a college athlete I understand what it takes to run track getting a scholarship to run for a school was so much pressure I can bet it's even worst how it is to run for a country...if you can do one with the ladies also please would love to hear how they feel as well and what their POV is...great conversation again!!! Keep up the good talk, we need to hear these honest truths!!!

I remember that Olympics when many of us were expecting the men to do 123 in the 100m and you both fell short. I honestly cried for you both. I cried not because I felt upset. I knew you both must have felt awful and I wanted a medal soooooooo much for you guys. Even writing this I remember how many of us Jamaicans felt so sad because we loved you both a lot.

    Really great interview 👏🏾
Two things I'd love to add tho:
1: When you refer to stories from your past, can you show a few pictures to help us relate?
    2. When you talk about your businesses, don't just mention the street name of the location. Many of us viewers are not in Jamaica and we would love to stop by these places one day, so a more descriptive location (e.g. name of town etc) would be appreciated.
Thank you guys for doing these interviews!!

Blessings to you Asafa, your wife and the fastlane team. To all the representative. I am also a former representative in the sport of Boxing. I am very proud of you guy, and all that you have done for our little country Jamaica. Its because of you guy, we're so famous all over the world. You got to get Yohan Blake on the fastlane. He was truly a beast. Thank you for explaining the effects of injuries. This makes clearly understandable, the life on the track, and what athlete faces during their career. I remembered winning gold medal in boxing with one arm, after I injured my left hand
You and your wife are doing a great job. Keep it up.
Last thing Asafa, your mother and I, are on a prayer line. We both ministered the good word. If you ask your mother, just asked her if she know fireball. That's my nickname from preaching.

You gentlemen have made your families and all Jamaicans proud. I’m very happy that you are all doing well. I pray that God continue to bless you all, and your families. Continue to give a helpful hand to the new and upcoming athletes who may not have the help and guidance. I was always one of the loudest voices in ATL cheering for you guys. I definitely want to visit some of the places the Powell’s talk about when I visit Jamaica. Love you all

Finally getting the chance to watch this episode ... glad I found the time. Can I say, this gave me another perspective into your life as athletes. love the truthful candor. I have to admit in general as a country we do take for granted our athletes who represent brand Jamaica on a global scale until the world is celebrating them. You guys did a lot for track and yes sometimes it is forgotten because we got spoiled with gold and the narrative here comes the Jamaicans. We are proud people and sometimes lose sight of the sacrifice and focus regardless of the results. Keep it all in perspective that everyone may not want to acknowledge what you have done, but you know your value. Thank you. Great podcast! Asafa I love your passion for your fellow track mates. It made camaraderie was amazing.🤗🤗 legendary track performances

I can't believe Alysha was bashful about her high school PB! 53.xx in the 400 is an exceptional time for a high school athlete! In the US there are only a handful of girls each year that run in that range. Sanya Richards Ross has the national high school record (50.xx), but she was a prodigy. Alysha, you are very talented!

Really enjoy the perspective you both present with your guests. Very insightful. One thing I would say to to Asafa, is limit the limit the Jamaican people/public bashing. As a nation we hold out athletes to a much higher standard than any other nation when it comes to track and field. It’s the same with Brazil and football or America and basketball. I do however agree that the federation should support our athletes more. Jamaican athletes are national treasures. Keep up the good work for 2023.
