Bravo aux lionnes 🇸🇳, vous vous etes battues pour gagner ce match, mais les nigériennes ont été plus fortes en Afrique depuis 2017.
Félicitations à l'équipe du Nigeria , ces filles méritent largement cette victoire d'après leur prestation 🇳🇬👏👏.
Les nigériennes ont été beaucoup plus physiques, techniques et confiantes. C'est vraiment l'équipe qui pourrait dignement représenter le continent africain en coupe du monde basket feminin en ce moment.
Le Sénégal a perdu beaucoup de bals, mal défendu et avait vraiment du mal à organiser leur jeux. Les filles ont trop regardé le Nigeria développer son jeu, manque de concentration, et ça a fini à donner de la confiance à l'équipe nigérienne. Leur objectif c'était de creuser l'écart dès les premiers quart-temps, et elles ont réussis. Malheureusement, le Sénégal a commencé tardivement à bien défendre dans le dernier quart-temps. Bien défendre et marquer continuellement des points, demandait beaucoup de physique pour le Sénégal. C'était quasiment mission impossible.
Il n'y a pas de débat ou d'alibi sur le fait que les joueuses du Nigeria sont nées ou évoluent aux USA. Ce tournoi est une très haute compétition, et il faudra trouver les meilleures joueuses un peu partout pour les aligner, tant qu'elles ont les critères de sélection de FIBA.
Le basket d'aujourd'hui n'est plus comme celui d'avant. Le Sénégal doit maintenant faire comme le Nigeria, si nous voulons s'en sortir. Il faut vraiment commencer à faire un vrai travail de repérage des jeunes talents qui évoluent un peu partout dans la diaspora, les convaincre depuis le bas age et les faire rejoindre l'équipe nationale du Sénégal. C'est ce que le Nigeria a compris depuis 2015, ce n'est pas par hasard qu'ils ont pris un coach américain pour faciliter les choses, et faire venir les filles nigériennes de la diaspoora. Il est temps que la fédération sénégalaise de Basketball commence à repérer et convaincre les filles et fils du pays, si on veut rester dans le plus haut niveau et gagner d'autres trophées.
