I have one in the same colour. It's really smart and astonishingly good. I use it daily for an 8 mile commute to work. My wife loves going pillion and says it's the most comfortable bike I have ever had. It copes well two up with little loss in performance or handling or braking. I get 112mpg. I have a shad top box and can get 3 bags of shopping on it. One in the box, one under the seat and one on the hook. I weigh over 100kg and even with my wife on the back can cruise at 50mph. If you look at the specs and compare, it makes less bhp but more torque lower down than other 125 scoots. Tax is £21 and fully comp insurance for me is £93 including legal expenses cover. Fun, cheap and after a few hundred miles of acclimatisation comfy as well. Suspension feels a bit stiff from new but that makes it a good handler. All in all very pleased with mine. Great video.
When I retired I sold my car and bought one of these. I don't need to travel to work any more. All my travel is for SDP and this is the ideal. This is my second one (21 plate). It's great fun and quite fast enough for an old wrinkly like me. I went for a Honda because of its legendary reliability. I'm glad I did. Hi, we have decided to go from 2 cars to 1 car and a scooter, I was initially looking at a Honda Vision 110, however I can say after watching this fantastic review I have now placed an order for a silver SH125 Mode and it’s due for Delivery mid to end of May, thank you for a very informative review. Cheers Paul
I’ve got both mode and vision, new models. The mode handles hills a bit better, 5-10mph more, both lose mph in wind easily. The vision is a quieter scooter,, with a less intrusive exhaust note. It also has a little handbrake on the left side near rear brake lever….very handy on slops if you need to stop and adjust something….so useful. The vision I find has a more comfortable seat. In a hilly area the mode wins. The vision is a lovely relaxing ride. Both great scooters.

Having commuted for 45. Yrs on honda c50,70,90 and anf 125, these modern scooters with belt drive are a revelation. I had to take chain off every 3 months and soak in diesel even with chain guard. These 12k belt and rollers, also very easy diy. Also feet/legs stay dry . 140mpg. Ultra reliable. Most other EU countries theses are the go to transport
I bought one of these in June to ride a tour of the north of England with some others. I've never had a scooter before - it is astonishingly good. My longest day was 285 miles, which it did with ease. Next year it will be touring Scotland. The only real niggle I have with it is the small tank. As I use it for long rides not city work it tends to sit at 50 to 55 mph a lot of the time so consumption is about 110 mpg. It's now on 3200 miles and the rear tyre needs replacing - I've bought the tyre now I just need to work out how to get at the rear wheel (me being used to motorbikes). In fact, I liked this bike so much in July I went out and bought an SH350i - it's like sitting on a comfy chair that can do 80 mph.
I got my cbt in September after years being a pillion on my partners versys 1000gt . I chose the mode over the SHi 125 due to being able to put my feet flat on the floor also so much cheaper than the SHi brand new. I love it, so easy for a beginner. Also very light and easy to manhandle out of the garage. My partner who has been riding for 30 years often takes it out himself, loving the ease of use and fun factor. Thanks for the review, the only decent one I could find on the mode
